Thursday, August 31 2000 9.30 A.M.
Acting Chairperson Beverly Barr called the Regular Meeting to order
in Commission Chambers at 9:30 A.M.
Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll. Present were Acting
Chair Beverly Barr, Members Judith Browner, Abraham Futernick and
Rosalind Gatewood. Building Official Bob Dawson was present, as
well as members of the general public.
NEW BUSINESS
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR CHAIN LINK FENCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
3212 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: S.H. SELTZER/AMBASSADORS EAST CONDO
ASSOCIATION.
Mr. Thomas Alfano, Property Manager, was present to discuss
project, noting that the fence is for security reasons rather than
appearance. It was stated that trespassers are entering the beach
via Ambassadors east parking lot, and the intent of subject fence
is to keep trespassers out.
• After review of plans, the following MOTION was made by MR.
FUTERNICK/MRS. BROWNER:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GRANTS FINAL APPROVAL FOR
CHAIN LINK FENCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3212 S. OCEAN
BLVD. APPLICANT: S.H. SELTZER/AMBASSADORS EAST CONDO
ASSOCIATION.
MOTION met with unanimous approval.
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3200 S. OCEAN
BLVD; THE AZURE AT HIGHLAND BEACH. APPLICANT: VALERIE KAAN.
Mr. Ronald Kann presented application to the Board, noting its size
of 16 sq. ft. is within Town Code, and will be mounted 4 ft. above
ground. After discussion, the following MOTION was made by MRS.
BARR/MRS. BROWNER:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GRANTS FINAL APPROVAL FOR
SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3200 S. OCEAN BLVD; THE
AZURE AT HIGHLAND BEACH. APPLICANT: VALERIE KAAN.
MOTION met with unanimous approval.

OTHER BUSINESS
Due to lack of quorum at the September 28 meeting, the Regular
meeting will be rescheduled to Wednesday, September 27 at 9:30 a.m.
The was some general discussion re Gardens at Highland Beach
project.
With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to
adjourn was made by MRS. BROWNER/MRS. GATEWOOD at 9:50 a.m.
