Thursday, February 24, 2000 9:30 A.M.
Chairperson Theresa Colarullo called the Regular Meeting to order
in Commission Chambers at 9:30 A.M.
Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll. Present were
Chairperson Theresa Colarullo, Vice Chair Miriam Zwick, Members
Judith Browner, Neil W. Burd, Rosalind Gatewood and Beverly Barr.
Abraham Futernick was absent.
Building Official Bob Dawson and Members of the general public were
also present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Upon MOTION by MR. BURD/MRS. BROWNER, the Minutes of the January
27, 2000 Regular Meeting and the January 13, 2000 Special Meeting
were unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR CONSTRUCTION TRAILER AT 2367 S. OCEAN BLVD.
APPLICANT: ADDISON DEVELOPMENT/DAN SWANSON.
Mr. Dawson presented application to Board. With no concerns
expressed, the following MOTION was made by MRS. ZWICK/MRS.
BROWNER:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GRANTS FINAL APPROVAL FOR
CONSTRUCTION TRAILER AT 2367 S. OCEAN BLVD., APPLICANT:
ADDISON DEVELOPMENT/DAN SWANSON.
MOTION met with unanimous approval.
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE; ALTERATIONS TO
SITE WALL, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2342 S. OCEAN BLVD.
APPLICANT: HIGHLAND BEACH ESTATES LANDHOLDINGS, INC./JEFF NORMAN.
Presentation of project was provided by Jeff Norman, explaining
that subject property contains lots with a house currently on
middle lot. Mr. Norman plans to construct a house on the South
lot, while renting current house for a year, thus creating a non-
conformity in regard to setback requirements. At the time the new
house receives a C.O., he will tear down existing home, which will
bring new home into setback requirements, along with two additional
new homes he plans to build. It was noted that the Planning Board
Denied Mr. Norman's application until such time that he can back
his intent to tear down existing home, with a bond.
