TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH

WORKSHOP MEETING MINUTES
Thursday March 25 1999 10:45 A.M.
Chairman Alfred E. Bresnahan called the Special Workshop Meeting to
order in Commission Chambers at 10:45 A.M.
Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll. Present were
Chairman Alfred E. Bresnahan, Members Victor P. Hadeed, Harold R.
Hagelmann, S. Myron Browner, Guido Teichner and Eugene Diliberto.
Also present were Town Attorney Thomas Sliney, Building Official
Bob Dawson and members of the general public.
This Special Planning Board meeting was called due to the Town
Commission's approval of bringing in a consultant to assist the
Planning Board in reviewing the Town's building codes, with
possible changes in order for the codes to address today' s building
standards.
Mr. Saag, Mr. Dawson and Mr. Bresnahan had previously interviewed
several candidates, with the selected two being interviewed by the
• Board today. The candidates were given a list of topics to be
covered at the interview. (attached hereto and made a part of
these minutes.)
Mark Sardena, Jahn Little and Dana Little were present as
representatives from Sardena & Little; Jim Park was present
representing himself.
Both candidates addressed subject topics, explaining how they would
approach review of the Town's codes, and answered questions from
the Board.
After subject interviews, the Board discussed both candidates and
stated their desire to interview others. Town Manager stated that
he concurred with the Board and will get in touch with several
other candidates for interviews in the near future.
With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to
adjourn was made by MR. BROWNER/MR. TEICHNER at 12:40 p.m.

how you would recommend involving those key players in the process;
5. Discuss any observations you may have about Highland Beach and the specific
problems facing Highland Beach now and in the future;
b. Provide any other information you feel would be relevant to the Planning Boazd in
determirrmg what P Professional can best meet the needs of the Town.
