Bresnahan called the Regular Meeting to order in Commission Chambers at 9:30 A.M. Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll. Present were Chairman Alfred E. Bresnahan, Members Victor P. Hadeed, Harold R. Hagelmann, S. Myron Browner, Guido Teichner and Eugene Diliberto. Gerald Church was absent. Also present were Town Attorney Thomas Sliney, Building Official Bob Dawson and members of the general public. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MR. TEICHNER/MR. HADEED, the Minutes of the May 17 1999 Regular Meeting and the May 24 Workshop Meeting were unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING RESIDENCE, • CONSTRUCTION OF TWO NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 2454 AND 2464 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT/OWNER: THE BALTIMORE COMPANY. PLANNING BOARD APPROVED CONCEPT OF DIVISION OF PROPERTY BY PREVIOUS APPLICANT ON 3/11/98. Mr. Conway of The Baltimore Company presented subject plans to the Board, stating that the homes will be a Mediterrian style, on 80 foot lots, and standing 30 feet above crown of road, per town ordinance. The Board inspected subject plans, and after all questions were satisfactorily answered, the following MOTION was made by MR. TEICHNER/MR. HAGELMANN: THE PLANNING BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING RESIDENCE, CONSTRUCTION OF TWO NEW SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 2454 AND 2464 S. OCEAN BLVD. POOLS ARE APPROVED SUBJECT TO STATE APPROVAL. APPLICANT/ OWNER: THE BALTIMORE COMPANY. MOTION met with unanimous vote. PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR TWO (2) DOLPHIN PILINGS, LOCATED TWENTY (20) FEET FROM SEAWALL, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1103 RUSSELL DRIVE., LOT 18. APPLICANT/OWNER: WILLIAM CORUM. Mr. Corum was present to offer explanation to the Board of his request for the two dolphin pilings, indicating that a boat could • then be docked perpendicular to the dock, which is not wide enough to allow a larger boat to be docked parallel to same. l .. .- v r1 L_J Planning Board June 1 1999 Paae 2 of 2 Mr. Corum indicated that there are 18 existing pilings in the same waterway; that canal is 150 feet wide which would allow ample turn around room for a boat. As this was a workshop meeting, Chairman Bresnahan set July 14 at 9:30 a.m. as the Public Hearing date. OTHER BUSINESS It was noted that Mr. Chuck Johnson (Byrd Beach Estates) was invited to this meeting to discuss connection of homes within subject project. Mr. Johnson was unable to attend today's meeting, and will plan on attending the July Regular meeting. Fencing of pools which was recommended for discussion by the Town Commission was tabled to remain as is, in order not to put any undue hardship on residents by the Town. It was recommended that if a resident applies for a pool permit, suggestions of how they might enclose it be discussed with them, but not required by the Town. MOTION was made by MR. TEICHNER/MR. BROWNER to table the pool ordinance. MOTION met with unanimous vote. With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn was made by MR. BROWNER/MR. TEICI~TER at 10:05 A.M.
