PLANNING BOARD
WORKSHOP MEETING MINUTES
Wednesdav, January 12, 2000 10.45 A M
Chairman Alfred E. Bresnahan called the Workshop Meeting to order in
Commission Chambers at 10:45 a.m.
Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll. Present were
Chairman Alfred E. Bresnahan, Members Victor P. Hadeed, S. Myron
Browner, Harold Hagelmann, Gerald Church and Eugene Diliberto.
Guido Teichner was absent. Also present were Town Attorney Thomas
Sliney, Building Official Bob Dawson and members of the general
public.
Discussion continued re code reviews, with swimming pool fencing
being discussed, and determining if same should be required for
condo pools, as will be required for single family homes.
Dome screening may be used or if an entire back yard is fenced in,
that will suffice for a pool fence. Marty Hodgkins will investigate
this further and discussion will continue at a future workshop
meeting whereby the Board will consider a recommendation to the Town
Commission.
• Marine Facilities was discussed, with the concern of residents
renting dockage, causing an influx of boats in the canals. It was
discussed to write into the code to prohibit rental of dock space;
have all residents provide the town with a copy of their boat
registration, and to keep it current with the town. The board was
polled with a 3/2 vote for these changes.
The next Workshop meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 17.
With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn
was made by MR. HAGELMANN/MR. BROWNER at 12:05 p.m.
