Hagelmann called the Regular Meeting to order in Commission Chambers at 9:30 a.m. Present were Chairman Hagelmann, Members Neil W. Burd, Theresa M. Colarullo and Leonard D. Bell. Vice-Chair Gerald B. Church, Victor P. Hadeed and Eugene Diliberto were absent. Also present Building Official Robert Dawson and members of the general public. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MR. BURD/MRS. COLARULLO the Minutes of the July 11, 2001 Regular Meeting were unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4117 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: FRANK LAHAGE & ASSOCIATES; OWNER: OCEAN ESTATES, LLC. PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION SIGN FOR PROPERTY • LOCATED AT 3801 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: FRANK LAHAGE & ASSOCIATES; OWNER: OCEAN ESTATES, LLC. The Board reviewed two above applications together, and with no noted concerns the following MOTION was made by MR. BELL/MRS. COLARULLO: THE PLANNING BOARD GRANTS FINAL APPROVAL FOR CONSTRUCTION SIGNS FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 4117 S. OCEAN BLVD. AND 3801 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: FRANK LAHAGE & ASSOCIATES; OWNER: OCEAN ESTATES, LLC. MOTION met with unanimous vote. PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2640 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: SRD BUILDING CORP.; OWNER: PETER KOKINAKOS. After review of subject application, the following MOTION was made by MR. BURD/MR. BELL: THE PLANNING BOARD GRANTS FINAL APPROVAL TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2640 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: SRD BUILDING CORP.; OWNER: PETER KOKINAKOS. MOTION met with unanimous vote. Planning Board Regular Meeting • August 15 2001 Page 2 of 2 PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR ADDITION TO EXISTING HOUSE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2633 S. OCEAN BLVD, LOT 4, BYRD BEACH ESTATES. APPLICANT: BOCA CONTRACTING; OWNER: MAX MUSA. C~ • Mr. Nevins discussed request being made, indicating that new addition would have an encroachment of 4 feet into setback. As the Board indicated that this appears to be a Board of Adjustment Variance request, Mr. Nevins noted that in Spring of 2000 the Board approved a utility shed for adjacent house with the same encroachment, thereby felt that the Planning Board would approve subject application today. It was stated that what was approved then does not set a precedent for approval now, and that perhaps the prior approval was made in error. It was recommended that the applicant apply for a variance with the Board of Adjustment. PRELIMINARY .REVIEW FOR ADDITION TO EXISTING HOUSE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4621 S. OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: TERENCE CUDMORE BUILDER, INC. OWNER: JACURA FLORIDA. It was noted that the new house being constructed on this site was approved with the existing garage remaining as is, of which sits within the setback. Terry Cudmore was present to explain the renovation/addition to the garage, and that the structure would remain within the existing footprint. As the Board members were vague on what the circumstances were at that time, and that Town Attorney Thomas Sliney was absent today, it was decided not to take action at this time until all legal aspects were looked at. Therefore, the Board decided to table application until the September regular meeting when Town Attorney will be present.. OLD BUSINESS/OTHER BUSINESS None.
