WORKSHOP MEETING MINUTES

Chairman Neil W. Burd called the Workshop Meeting to order to order in Commission
Chambers at 9:30 a.m. Present were Vice-Chair Theresa M. Colarullo, Gerald B. Church
and Victor P. Hadeed. Leonard D. Bell, Robert Silverberg and Louis P. Stern were
absent. Also present was Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney, Building Official Robert
Dawson and members of the general public. The Pledge of Allegiance was taken.
NEW BUSINESS
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR A BOAT LIFT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4323
TRANQUILITY DRIVE. APPLICANT: RICHARD STEIN.
Mr. Dawson stated that this was a basic boat lift situation which our ordinance requires
to come before the board. He noted that the plans meet the town code.
Mr. Stein presented his application to the board, noting that he has an 33' boat and
wants to put an incline lift attached to the dock. He noted that there are no dolphins.
The boat slides up and down the lift. Mr. Dawson stated that there is no obstruction to
navigation. The Board reviewed the plans.
. Mr. Sliney c{arified that a public hearing would be needed for public input.
A Public Hearing was set for August 18, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. The Regular Meeting was
also postponed to August 18 to run both meetings back to back.
(for the record, due to scheduling problems, the Regular Meeting was moved back to
August 11 and the Public Hearing was moved forward to August 23.)
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn was made by
MRS. GOLARULLO/MR. CHURCH at 9:40 a.m.
