roof tiles/ roof in disrepair, hurricane panels covering windows.
Chairperson Schlam read the title of Item 8.A. and asked the Board members if
they had any ex parte communications to disclose in the matter. Hear ing none,
he opened the public hearing and called for Code Compliance Officer Osowsky
to give testimony and recommendations regarding the violation.
Code Compliance Officer Adam Osowsky stated that the Town was pulling the
case as they are no longer in violation.

Code Sections: 30-122 (B) - Expiration of building permit.
Violations: 1) Permit P23-0199 Tub remodel has expired due to missing
inspections and unpaid fees. 2) Permit BR23- 0230 BUILDING - REMODELING
has expired due to missing inspections and unpaid fees.
Chairperson Schlam read the title of Item 8.A. and he opened the pub lic hearing
and called for Code Compliance Officer Osowsky to give testimony and
recommendations regarding the violation.
Code Compliance Officer Adam Osowsky provided a brief timeline of the facts of
the case. He entered submittals of evidence into the record that included proof of
service and supporting documents.
Code Compliance Officer Adam Osowsky mentioned that the violation remains.
Therefore, the Town recommends that the Respondents be found in violation of
the Town Code as alleged in the Notice of Violation and be fined $250.00 per day
for each day the violation remains after the date set for compliance and assess
prosecution costs in the amount of $250.00 payable by the date set for
compliance.
The respondent was not present.
The public hearing was closed followed by a motion.
Motion: Lasorsa/Perlow - Moved that Respondent be found in violation of the
Town Code as alleged in the Notice of Violation and that they be
ordered to comply by September 13, 2024, or be fined $250.00 per
day for each day the violations remain after the date set for
compliance and assess prosecution costs in the amount of $250.00
payable by the date set for compliance. Based upon a roll call,
Member Lasorsa (Yes), Vice Chairperson Perlow (Yes ), Member
Kaufman (Yes), and Chairperson Schlam (Yes). The motion passed
4 to 0.

SUBJECT: Nomination of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson
SUMMARY:
On February 13, 2024, Mr. Myles Schlam was nominated as the Chairperson to the Code
Enforcement Board and his term on the Code Enforcement Board ends on September 21,
2024. On February 14, 2024, Mrs. Jane Perlow was nominated as the Vice-Chairperson to
the Code Enforcement Board and her term on the Code Enforcement Board ends on
September 21, 2024. Therefore, the matter is being brought before the Board for discussion
and nomination to fill the vacant positions for a one-year term, ending September 10, 2025.
According to Resolution No. 19-029 R, - Advisory Board and Committees Appointment
Process Policy, Section 9, it should be common practice that no member shall serve as chair
and vice chair until he or she have served for one full year on the advisory board unless no
existing member is willing to serve as chairperson or vice chairperson.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
