Hertwig read letter dated 1/17/57 from Mr. Peter Foglia,President of Handshake, Inc. withdrawing their petition to have their Bel Marra sub-division annexed to the Town of Highland Beach. Comm. Hertwig read memorandum from Peter A. Foglia, written on a copy of a brochure of sub-division Bel Lido, asking that the Town Commission give its tentative approval of the plat as shown. Comm. Noble moved that the plat as shown be given tentative approval. The motion was seconded by Comm. Breckinridge and passed by the affirmative votes of Comm. Breck- inridge, Eypel, Hertwig, Noble and Winston with no dissent. The clerk read letter from R. Bruce Puckett, Inc. asking whether a Motel could be erected in a district zoned for apartments and hotels. By gener- al agreement the members of the Commission decided that there was no question involved as a Motel is a Hotel. The Town Clerk was requested to answer the letter accordingly. The clerk read a letter from R. Bruce Puckett, Inc. asking whether a Beach Club could be permitted in the apartment and hotel zone. The plot in question is subject also to a rather deed restriction which would ap- pear to bar anything except a home, an apartment or a bonafide hotel. The general fe&ling among the members of the Town Commission was that they would permit a fine Beach Club provided the restriction is legally changed by the required number of property owners in the general area affected. The Town Clerk was requested to answer the letter according 014 to these conclusions. The clerk read letter from Ferndale Apartment objecti to the grading and filling of the Bel Lido sub-division. Gy ` n h It was generally agreed that any attempt to interfere with the work would be out of the question but the Town Clerk was requested to talk with i.r. Peter Foglia and enlist his continued cooperation in having the work done so as to interfere as little as possible with the seasonal business. The Town Clerk was requested to contact Mr. L. L. Hussey and seek his cooperation in improving the appearance of the roadside at his home. The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm. Winston, seconded by Comm. Breckinridge and the affirmative votes of Comm. 3reckinridge, Nypel, Hertwig, Noble and Winston, with no dissent. (end of minutes ) Approved;
