(a continuation of the recessed meeting of 10/7/57)
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Mayor Eypel. Also pre-
sent were Comm'rs Breckinridge, Hertwig, Noble and Winston.
Comm'r Hertwig presented and read letter dated October 8, 1957 from Mr.
Peter Foglia in which the Highland Beach Development Corporation, as
promised, guarantees to provide cash to complete the improvement of Bel
Air Drive on the South boundary of the Bel Lido Subdivision. By general
agreement the Commissioners decided that the letter complied with the
promise made by Mr. Foglia. The Town Clerk was directed to mark the let•
ter for identification and file it with the other papers pertinent to
the approval of the Plat of the Bel Lido subdivision.
Mayor Eypel presented a resolution containing a revised estimate of re-
ceipts and disbursements for the fiscal year starting November 1, 1957
and offered it for consideration of the Commission as the final budget
for the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1957.

APPROVING FINAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR STARTING NOVEMBER
FIRST, 1957 AND SETTING TAX MILLAGE ON 1957 TAX ROLL.
WHEREAS the Mayor has submitted a Statement of Estimated revenue and ex•
pense for the discal year starting November 1, 1957, which statement ap-
pears on page 2 of these resolutions;
And whereas said statement has been carefully considered by the members
of the Town Commission of the Town of Highland Beach, Florida, and is
believed to truly represent the anticipated income and expenses of the
Town of Highland Beach, Florida for the fiscal year starting November
First, 1957.
Now therefore be it Resolved by the Town Commission of the Town of
Highland Beach, Florida, that the said statement as appearing on the
following page, be and it hereby is approved as the Final Budget of the
Town of Highland Beach for the Fiscal Year starting November 1,1957.
And be it further resolved that the Tax Village as recommended in said
statement is hereby approved as the correct millage to be collected by
the Tax Collector on the Tax Assessment Roll for the year 1957.

On motion duly made, seconded and carried, the foregoing resolution

The commissioners discussed the Mayor's estimates as shown on the fore-
going page. After due consideration it was generally agreed that the
estimates would provide a good and proper budget to take care of the
needs of the Town for the coming fiscal year. Comm'r Breckinridge
moved that Resolution #73 be approved and adopted. The motion was sec-
onded by Comm'r Winston and approved by the affirmative votes of
Comm'rs Breckinridge, Eypel, Noble and Winston. Comm? " Hertwig ab-
stained from voting on the motion.
Following approval of the budget Comm'r Winston asked to be excused
to attend another meeting.
There was discussion about ways and means to bring about some action
to have the area pelletized in order to re-establish some control
over the sandfly nuisance but no formal action was taken.
The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm.
Ereckinridge and the affirmative votes of Comm. Breckinridge, Eypel,
Hertwig and Noble.
