1980.01.09_BAA_Minutes_Regular MINUTES : HOUSING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS, REGULAR MEETING, JANUARY 9, 1980. • Chairman Santangelo called the meeting to order at 10: 15 a.m. Following the salute to the flag, Secretary Vendeland called the roll. es, Present: Judge Santangelo, G. Vendeland, J. J. Kanner, B. S . Stephenson, H. Walker. Absent: J. Donohue MINUTES Secretary Vendeland read the minutes of the meeting of December 12, 1979. Motion was made by Mr.Stephenson, seconded by Mr. Kanner to accept the minutes as read. Judge Santangelo, Mrs. Vendeland, Mr. Kanner, Mr. Stephen- son and Mr. Walker voted aye for approval. Secretary Vendeland read Mrs. M.L.G.Blosser' s letter of resignation from the Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals. Mrs. Blosser will assume duties as a Town Commissioner. Mrs. Vendeland congratulated Mrs . Blosser and ex- pressed a wish for much success in Mrs . Blosser' s endeavors . NEW BUSINESS Mrs. Vendeland recommended consideration of Mr. Harry Walker to complete Mrs . Blosser ' s three (3) year term ending November 1982 . Mr.Walker agreed to accept the nomination. Mr. Kanner moved to nominate Mr. Walker as a regular member to replace Mrs. Blosser, Mr. Stephenson seconded. Judge Santangelo, Mr. Kanner, Mrs. Vendeland, Mr. Stephenson voted aye for approval. The sa Town Commission will be advised of this nomination. The following names were proposed as candidates to fill the two existing vacancies for alternate members on the Housing Board, Mr. Arthur Roy and Mr. Stanley M. Gullquist. ADJOURNMENT Motion was made by Mr. Stephenson, seconded by Mr. Walker to adjourn the regular meeting. Secretary Vendeland noted the next regular meeting of the Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals is scheduled for Wednesday, Febru- ary 13, 1980, at 10:15 a .m. Judge Santangelo noted receipt of a memo dated January 2, 1980, addressed to Chairman of all Board and Commissions, from Town Manager, relative to Agenda Closings Policy Adopted by the Town Commission, January 2, 1980. Secretary Vendeland read the memo, Attachment "B" . Members agreed with the requirement that "The petitioner must request in writing to be heard before any of the above Commissions or Boards listing the reasons to be heard in detailed form, a minimum of 15 days before the meeting. " At the conclusion of the discussion Mr. Stephenson, Mr. Kanner, Mrs. Vende- land, Mr. Walker and Judge Santangelo voted aye on Mr. Stephenson' s motion to adjourn the meeting. "Any petitioner who requests to be heard at any public meeting before the Town Commission, or any appointed Boards of the Town, must comply r with the following: 1. The petitioner must request in writing to be heard before any of the above Commissions or Boards listing the reasons to be heard in detailed form, a minimum of 15 days before the meeting. 2 . The petitioner' s request should include any necessary documenta- tion including, but not limited to, maps, plans, specifications, sta- tistical data, location (Town lot number) and dimensions. Maps and/or plans should include complete measurements and contain points of the compass and be drawn to an acceptable scale. 3. No petitioner will be heard unless all of the conditions enumer- ated above have been strictly complied with. 4. No petitioner will be heard unless all submitted materials were filed in the appropriate department such as Building Department and/or Town Manager' s Department a minimum of 15 days in advance of the meeting.
