1980.02.13_BAA_Minutes_Regular MINUTES : HOUSING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS, REGULAR MEETING. FEBRUARY 13, 1980. Chairman Santangelo called the meeting to order at 10: 15 a .m. Following the ^ salute to the flag, Secretary Vendeland called the roll . The Agenda is Attachment "A" . Present: Judge R. V. Santangelo, G. Vendeland, B. S . Stephenson, J. J. Kanner, Harry Walker. MINUTES Secretary Vendeland read the minutes of the meeting of January 9, 1980 . Motion was made by Mr. Stephenson, seconded by Mr . Kanner to approve the minutes as read. Judge Santangelo, Mr . Kanner, Mrs . Vendeland, Mr. Steph- enson and Mr. Walker voted aye. The minutes were accepted as read. NEW BUSINESS Mrs. Vendeland noted receipt of the following letters: Memo from Town Manager E. W. Roberts, dated January 10, 1980, "Three Absences of Jack Donohue, Alternate Member" , Attach- ment "B" . Copy inter-office memo, dated January 31, 1980, subject - Approval of nomination of Mr . Harry Walker as regular member by Housing Board. Copy of letter addressed to Mr. Harry Walker, dated February 7, ''--. 1980, "Appointment - Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals" , Attachment "C" . Town Manager E. W. Roberts, present, noted the receipt of a resume from Mr. Leon Allen. Mr. Stephenson moved to nominate Mr . Allen as candidate for the vacancy for Alternate. Mr . Allen addressed the members of the Board and indicated he will advise the Board as to whether he will accept a nomination for alternate on the Housing Board. Mrs . Roberts indicated that Mrs . L. W. Joy has advised she is interested in being considered for the appointment as Alternate. Following discussion Mr. Stephenson moved to nominate Mrs. Joy as candidate to replace Mr . J. F. Donohue as Alternate #1. Mrs . Vendeland seconded. Judge Santangelo, Mr. Stephenson, Mr . Kainer, Mr. Walker and Mrs . Vendeland voted aye. The Town Commission will be advised. Commissioner M. L. G . Blosser, in audience, spoke on census procedures . ADJOURNMENT Secretary Vendeland noted the next regular meeting of the Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 1980 at 10: 15 a .m. Mr . Absence from three consecutive meetings, be they Workshop, Special or Regular, will be considered as resignation subject es) to automatic acceptance by the Town Commission. Ocean Blvd. 278-6943 Mr. Stanley M. Gullquist - 3100 S . Ocean Blvd. 276-6438 Mrs. Vendeland recommended consideration of Mr. Harry Walker to complete Mrs. Blosser' s three year term ending November 1982 . Miller DATE: January 31, 1980 SUBJECT: Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals Appointments At the regular meeting of the Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals, held January 9, 1980, members of the Board voted to rig'I approve the nomination of Mr. Harry Walker as a Regular Member, and to advise the Town Commission of this nomination. Mr. Walker would complete Mrs. Mary Louise G. Blosser ' s three (3) year term ending November 1982 . The following names were proposed as candidates to fill the two existing vacancies for alternate members on the Housing Board; Mr. Arthur Roy and Mr. Stanley M. Gullquist.
