APRIL 9, 1980.
Chairman Santangelo called the meeting to order at 10 : 15 a .m. Following
the salute to the flag, Secretary Vendeland called the roll. The Agenda
is Attachment "A" .
Present: Judge R. V. Santangelo, Harry Walker, Gertrude
Vendeland, Ben S . Stephenson, Martha Joy (Alt. )
J. J. Kanner and Leon Allen (Alt. )
Town Manager E. W. Roberts was present in audience.
MINUTES
Secretary Vendeland read the minutes of March 12, 1980. Motion by Mr.
Stephenson, Mr . Walker, Mrs . Vendeland, Judge Santangelo, and Mr. Kanner
voted aye for approval.
Chairman Santangelo called upon Town Manager E. W. Roberts for comments .
Mrs . Roberts gave a brief explanation of Residential Planned Unit Develop-
ment zoning. Mrs. Roberts noted that Regency Highland was zoned RPUD
and has 220 units . Boca Highland has one building completed, Dalton Place.
The Hoffman property, "Hidden Harbor" project, has applied for approval for
sixteen story structures . The Planning Commission, Town of Highland Beach,
has submitted a recommendation for approval, to the Town Commission. A
public hearing will be held on May 6, 1980, at 1:30 p.m. ,by the Town Com-
' mission, to discuss the request. Mrs . Roberts recommended that members of
the Housing Board attend the hearing and examine the site plan.
Regarding the water supply, Town Manager Roberts indicated the Town has six
wells and advised that the continued conservation of water is urged, to
maintain the quality of the water. Mrs . Roberts also noted the variances
in water usage month to month, as indicated on a chart prepared by Mayor
Horton.
ADJOURNMENT
Chairman Santangelo noted there was no new business and no old business.
Secretary Vendeland advised the next regular meeting of the Housing Board
of Adjustment and Appeals is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 1980, at
10: 15 a .m.
Mr . Stephenson moved to adjourn the meeting, Mr . Walker seconded. The
meeting was adjourned at 10 :35 a .m. Aa.re-e-1(
