Minutes of Reoular Meeting of Highland Beach Community Appearance Board.
November 9 , 1972 at 7:30PM at Highland Beach Town Hall .
Committee was called to order and upon roll call the following
members answered present:

B . J. Stewart announced that Mr . Jack Jorsan would be unable to
serve on the Community Appearance Board. Mrs . Stewart suggested
that Mr . Donald Rex take his place , to which Mr . Rex agreed ,
and the appropriate letter will be submitted to the Commissioners
for his approval .

The attending committee reviewed the construction of our
Supplemental Criteria and Procedural Rules of the Community
Appearance Board. The form was based on same used by the Board
of Boca Raton . Appropriate changes were made where applicable
r., and it was generally agreed that a broader form was more
accpetable in the long run since it would allow for more
constructive interpretations of the applications . The definition
of certain areas such as parking lot size determinations was
deferred pending Member Walsh' s attending a Community Appearance
Board meeting of Boca Raton, and requesting that board clarify
their wording on parking lot percentages .

Mrs . Stewart distributed copies of Tree Ordinance #193 and
Sign Ordinance #147 to all attending members .

to retain reference to sign approval

All the following attending members agreed that a two stage
approval of the application would be sufficient for an effective
review of presentation.

Mr . Shinkle , at 9:25 PM . All the fo' lowing members voted "aye" .
