r-. Town Hall.
Meeting waa called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the f: llowiiv members
present: :rimes . Stewart, Becker, Messrs . Johnson and Beeman
Minutes of the lust meeting were read and approved as corrected.
Item #1: Packer Apts. West Side, 4531 So .Ocean Drive. Present
w&s Ar.Meinatein wno submitted a new landscaping plan which added
three more landscaping areas. Mottowas made by Mr. Johnson,
seconded by Mr. Beekman to approve the new plan as submi -ted.
Approved by Mmes.Stewart and Becker, Messrs . Jonnson and Beekman.
A ligntinb plan for the parking area was also submitted, showing
mercury vapor light on 20' pole. 'rs . 3tewa. t suggest,d a lower
profile lighting plan and :,r. Meinstein will speak to the architect.
Item #2: Winterhalter Inn, 2909 3o. Ocean Drive. Since C J.
and R.L.Wilsi: s, owners, r.ere not availacle at the teginning of
discussion, motion was made by Mrs . Stewart to table their land-
scaping plan until Board' s recommendations were met, seconded by
Mr. B::ekman, approved ry Mmes . Stewart and Becker, :•.essrs . Johnson
and Beekman. Wnen they appeared later they agreed to submit a
new landscaping plan as well as a design for sign wnich they
wish to post.
Item #3: Highland Beacn Utilities The Commissioners nave been
contacted and are taking under advisement the matter of land-
scaping for the Treatment Plant near St .Lucy Church.
Item #4: Town of Highland Be:cn sign. Mrs . Becker submitted
plan designed by :sr. Dave Martin for the Town Hall sign, 35"
off ground,moun;ed on st. ne, 10' long, 1'-5" wide, with 5" - —
letters, and this will be submitted to the Town Commissioners:
:yrs . Stewart read correspondence from the Town Clerk, confirming.
appointment of .r. Don Rex to the Community Appearance Board
for two years, to March 5, 1975.
Also a no .ice from Mr. Marvin E, nemery, Cnairman,Plar:ning Board,
regarding public hearings April 4, 1974 at 2:00 P.M. and April
11, 197d at 2:00 P.t•..
Mrs. Stewart also read letter addressed to the Town Commissio
from the Board, regarding the appe::rance and landscaping of
the Ocean Pines sales trailer.

Minute.: of Workshop Meetin6 of the Community Appearance Board
on Thursday, Marion 28, 1974, at 9:00 ?.M. in the Highland Beach
Town Hall.
.Meeting was c::iled to order at 9:00 P .M. with the following
memters present: ;mes . Stew rt, Becker, Messrs . Beekman and Johnson.
St. Lucy Church: .r. Good,tne landscape architect, submitted
a new rough draft of landscaing, descri:.ing the tyle of plantings
and their locations, plus post ligntin8, but the ; r.ard suggested
that the front section of the prgerty be worked up in more
detail an.i by camouflating the background as far as possible
making the site more attractive in appearance when viewed from
AIA. It was suggested that ne come back next week with a new
Man to be submitted by the 1st of April and the Board would then
give an opinion by the 5taof April .
