1974.05.30_CAB_Minutes_Regular TOWN OF HIGHLAND PEACH Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Community Appearance Board on Thursday, May 30, 1974, at 7:00 P.M. in the Highland Beach Town Hall. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members present: Mr. Beekman, Mmes. Becker andStewart. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved with addition. Item 1: 4 Ambassadors South, Sign Messrs . Season and Totz, representatives, requested extension of existing sign for a period of six months . Mr. Beekman made a motion to approve the extension, seconded by Mrs . Becker, approved by Mr. Beekman and Mmes . Becker and Stewart. Item #2: _3 Ambassadorst Eastt_alyzn Messrs . Season and Totz, representatives, requested extension of existing sign for a period of six montns . Mr. Beekman made a motion to approve the extension, seconded by Mrs. Becker, approved by Mr. B-eaman and Mmes . Becker and Stewart. Item #3: Highland Beach Utility Co. Present was Mr. Totz, representative. Letter was read, dated May 30 to Mr. Totz from the Town Hall covering agreement on land- scaping for the Interim Sewage Treatment Plant. Discussion cantered on the inccmpleteness of the plan with respect toour criteria and specifically tothe undesirable and unfinished view that St. Lucy Church will have. Motion was made by Mrs . Pecker to approve the compromise letter or May 30 1974, between the Town and the Highland Beach Utility Co. represent..d by Mr. E. Totz, and the landscaping plan as submitted . The CAB does not reel that this plan meets their criteria and should nct be deemed precedent setting. Seconded by Mr. Beekman and approved by Mr. Beekman and Mmes . Becker and Stewart. Item #4: The Cavalier Ci.i.dedersum Association tSaler=Office Trailer Mr. John Ba=lari, representc.tive, submitted landscaping plan which was subject to some discussion in view of the unique position of specimen trees on the property, and several suggestions were made to improve the sales office site for better exposu..e . It was pointed out that parking spaces are to be hedged according to our criteria. Mr. Beekman made motion to approve plan as shown with the qualification that visual inspection bemade of the trailer site before orLnting of the C.O. Seconded by Mrs . Becker and appro\ ed by Mr. Beekman and Mmes . Becker and Stewart . Mrs . atewart read memo from Mrs. Roberts, datcd May 23, 1974, indicating that Father Slevin would be reduced ty a nes: priest at St . Letter dated May 29, 1974, to CAB from the Town Hall, notifying of burglar alarm system activated after office hours necessitating police assistance in entering or departing the premises . Letter datedMay 30 to Masiello & Associates (Holiday Innaddition) from Town Hall, regarding landscaping plans which are to be submitted to the CAB for approval before C.O. will be granted. 8440 P .M.
