1974.06.27_CAB_Minutes_Regular TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Community Appearance board on Thursday, June 27, 1974, at 7:00 2.... in the Highland Beach Town Hall. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P .M. with the following members present: Messrs . Beekman, Walsh, :tex, Johnson and Mrs . Stewart. Minutes of the last meeting were distributed and read to the members and approved as read . Item #1: Holiday Inn, 2809 :i Ocean Blvd. Present were representatives Messrs . Frank Masiello and Larry Jensen, landsc--.pe architect', and :.:r. Jerry Manfredi, Innkeeper. Discussion centered on addition of trees to the north parking area on East side of AIA. Mr. Waists made a motion to consider the plan as proposed to determine its acceptability . Seconded by Mr. Rex, approved by Mes-srs . Sex, Walsh, Beekman, Johnson, with Mrs . Stewart abstaining. Mr. Walsh commented that plantings on the West side parking area were not in accordance with their original promise . Item t2: Regency HichlandL_ 912 30 . Ocean Blvd. Oliver-:ioffman Present here representatives Messrs . Goldberger, Eisenhower, ..:yrd and Mmes . Neill and dost. Landscaping plan was present :d for model additions to existing sales office, to be added at back of present sales office, for a period of about 15 months . It was suggested that color samples and elevation arawings be presented before voting n same. Motion was m-de by ,.\ Mr. Rex to table the plans that were p:'ese::ted at this meeting and if further plans are presented not later than July 18 we will review them at the July regular meeting. Seconded by Mr. Rex and approved by Messrs . Beekman, Walsh, Rex, Johnson and Mrs. Stewart. The CAB approvedlandscaping and building plans as submitted and modified on June 27, 1974, west of line as indicated in Sheet #1 of landscape plan by Wooden Shoe Gardens of May 7, 1974 . Item44 : rs. Stewart read letter dated May 2d, 1974, from the Acting Town Maiager, advising that all members of the vario.,s Boards are allowed to have photostats made in the office without charge . Stewart read letter of June 3, 1974, addressed to Father Chepanus, new priest at St.Lucy Church, with copy to the Archbishop Carroll, regarding landscaping plans for the church, which has been under negotiation since November 29, 1973. Mrs. Stewart also read note to Mrs. Roberts and Mr. O'Grady regarding violation of sign ordinance by Boca-Hi with reference to Kraemer Isle. In line with a proposed new sign ordinance, photographs of all existing signs were taken by members of the Board.. + * Motion was made to approve the appointment of Mrs.Jackie Becker as a regular member of the Board by Mr. Rex, seconded by Mr. Walsh, and approved by Messrs. Rex, Walsh, Beekman,Johnson, and Mrs . Stewart. A Resolution was offered with our deep regret in accepting the resignation of Mr. Walsh as a member of the Board. 10:30 P.M.
