Minutes of the regular meeting of the Community Appearance Board
on Thursday, September 25, 1974, at the Highland Beach Town Hall,
at 7:00 Y .M.
Meeting was called to order at 7 :00 P .M. with the following
members present: Messrs. Beekman, Rex, Storm, Johnson, and
Mrs. Stewart.
Motion was made by i✓.r. Storm to dispense with the reading of
the minutes of the last regular meeting until later, seconded
by Mr. Rex, ana approved by Messrs . Beekman, Rex, Storm, Johnson,
and Mfrs. Stewart.
Item #1: Eel Lido Association LAccess to Peach)
Representatives present were i'.essrs .B. nrauss, Jack Dorson,
Ray Bauer, a::d Byron McKinley . Representatives explained they
were not present at our last regular meeting because their
notification did not appear tc so specify . They advised t:r.at
t:.e gates will be anodized aluminum in silver grey and that
timer lights in anodized aluminum have already teen trdered as
well as mushroom lights . Sprinklers and plantings are to to
supplied by fr. Urbanek, and Mr. Dorscn will ask for a landscaping
plan to suomit for our approval at our next regular neeting.
It was suggested that a railing might be practical along the
steps, and there was a question of what planning was to be
carried out for walk from AIA to entrance gate .
• Minutes. of: tne last regular meeting on August 29, 1974 were
read and corrected. Mr. Hex made a motion, seconded by -r.Eeekman
to approve the minutes as corrected . Approved Ly Messrs . reekman,
Rex, Storm, Johnson, and Mrs . Stewart.
Old Business
Letter dated September 10, 1974, from Mrs . M. J . Ciomei, Town
Clerk, was read sta . ing corrections to be maae for terms of
office of Mr. martin Johnson, from one year to two years, with
expiration d:.te August 5, 1975, and that of Mr. Harold Storm,
Alternate, iron, two years to one year, with expiration date
June 4, 1975 .
Letter dated Septemcer 17, 1974, from t..r. Frank R Masiello, Jr. ,
Architect for Holiday Inn, was read, indicating they hoped to
::ave exterior colors, metal railings and lighting detail from
their Jrofessional consulting services available for our regular
meeting in October.
Letter dhted July 2q, 1974, from Mr. William a. Heidtman, Sheri:'f,
Palm teach County, to Mrs . Roberts, Town Manager, regarding land-
ing pads on ni-rise buili4ngs for helicopter service in event of
fire was read for our information.

Since no representative was present, Mr. Rex made motion, seconded
(Th by Mr. Storm, to tacle the matter until our next regular meeting.

Minutes of the regular meeting of the Community Appearance Board
on Thursday, September 26, 1974, at the Highland Beach Town Hall,
at 7 :00 P.M.
Since the term of Mrs. Betty Jean Stewart, Chairman of the
Community Appearance Board, expires on October 2, 1974, Mr. Storm
made a motion to request the Town Commission to reappoint
Mrs. Stewart for another two-year term. Seconded by Mr. Beekman
and approved by Messrs . Beekman, Rex, Storm and Johnson.
8:50 P .M. Mr. Rex made motion to adJ•ourn, seconded by Mr. Stora,
and approved by Messrs. Beekman, Rex, Storm, and Johnson, and
Mrs . Stewart.
