Minute of the regular meeting of the Community Appearance Board
on Thursday, June 26, 1975, at the Highland Beach Town Hall at
7 :00 P.M.
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following
members pre:sent: Messrs. Rex, Bee:cman and Storm, and Mmes .
Jaffe and Stewart .
Minutes of the last special meeting en June 12, 1975, were read
and unanimously approved .
Item #1: John P . bland Tri-flex Russell Drive Lot 20
Present were John P . Hyland, ::weer, and Mr. Harry Libby, supervisor.
Referring to blueprints submitted the following information was
omitted : Color sample of red tile roof; color sample of doors;
type of exterior lighting; side elevations, locationof air
conditioning units, location and landscaping of garbage area .
Malayan Palms to be suLstituted for Cocoanuts in landscaping, as
reque ;ted. Sprinkler system tote installed . A11t>areas to teboc44,e47,alL
sodded. Motion was made by :r. Rex that the matter be tiled until 5
the questions above, plus samples, be submitted at the next
regular meeting in July . Second. d by Mr. Storm; approved by
Messrs . Rex, Beekman and Storm, and Mmes . Jaffe and Stewart .
Item #2_Orens 4-Plex, 4200 So. _OceanLot 7
Present were Nr. Robert E Casby and Mr. Janes H. Brewer, general
contractors . Elueprint indicates parking area near garbage area
not practical; also que.•tion o: general accessicility for trash
pick-up; alsolandscaping at garbage area not practical ; suggestion
was made to hedge entire area hiding view from AIA with a :dition
of a few trees . Amplification of pool :souse structure needed; also
more detE.iled pool area ( tnese items then removed from the plan
ty representative ) If later installed, plans for them to be sub-
mitted. It was suggeAted that side blank walls be decorated to
some extent, possibly windows . Type of exterior lighting to be
submitted; also where, how and what landscaping for air conditioning
units to rear and sides of building. Mrs . Jaffe made motion that
plan be re-submitted at our next regular meeting. Mr . Bee man
seconded. Amendment was made cy Mr . Storm to hold special meeting
on July 3rd at 7:00 P .M. at the Town Hall, seconded by Mrs. Jaffee,
and approved cy Messrs. . eexman, Rex and Storm, and rs. Stewart
and Mrs. Ja fe.
Item #3: Tri-flex Houck Russell Drive, Lot #19
Present was Mr. Ed Houck. Lighting plan submi, ted for approval,
she in,, moael to be used f.r both garage and grounds. (Garage light
per attached sheet - grounds, :cdel 2180-G3 Garden series ) 1:r.Storm

Beekman,approved by Messrs . Beekman, Rex, Storm, and DLmes .Stewart
and Jaffe .
Old Business: Ccean Pines landscaoin
Mrs. Stewart read report of June 12, 1975, oy Mr. ilex, regarding
landscaping inspection made ty him on a.t.cve under date of June 9,
1975, recommending CAL approval of same as it exceeded the plan,
exctpt for two Sabal Palms omitted at corner of building.

7:00 B.M.
Mrs . Stewart read letter of June 11 1975, from Mayor Gilday,
indicating that in compliance with t'Government in the Sunshine Law"
all Town Boards are to hold their meetings in the Commission
Chambers and be taped. In realy she asked who would do the taping
and transcriLing, and what facilities would be provided . On June
25, Mrs . Roberts indicated that Mr. C'Grady would operate the tape
recorder and return completed tapes to the office, and all
facilities in the chambers would be available f-r CAB meetinEs.
Cn June 25th Mrs . Stewart questioned some of these arrangements,
asking for comments cr suggestions.
