Minutes of the regular meeting of the Community Appearance Board
on Thursday, shay 27, 1975, at the Highland Beach Town Hall at
7 : 30 Y.M.
Meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following
members present: Messrs: Beekman, Rex, Storm, and Mmes . Steart
and tecker.
Messrs . R.Myers, N .Johnscn and J .O'Grady ..ere present.
Minutes of the meeting of March 25, 1976, were read and approved
without correction.Motion to accept was made by Mr. Storm,
secondedby Mr. Beekman and approved by Messrs . Beekman,Rex,
Storm, and Mmes . Stewart and Becker.
Mrs. Stewart read letter dated May 19, 1976, from the Town
Manager, regarding insurance coverage "Public Official
Liability" of one million dollars f:r each loss, with *750
deductiLle, for any appointed officials, even though serving
ona part time basis, for the Town of Highland Beach, which
protects t;.em against a personal law suit.
Item #l: nlgar Tri-Flex, Hignlandzeach DriveL_Lot 15
present was o..ner, -Mr. D . E. Kiger. Supplemental drawings were
suLmitted as requested. Motion to accept drawings submitted at
this meeting, with inclusion or the lighting plan previously
submitted .:as made by Mr. riex, seconded ty Mr. Beekman, and
approved by Messrs . Beekman, Aex, otorm,and Mmes . .itewartand
Becker.
Item #2: Gicson 4-Unit (Lot 22-Ei hland Beach Drivel
A . Lyle Gipson was present. Mr. 'Grady could not confirm
dimensions because they w.:re nut listed on site. Drawings
submitted, but change in plans were not submitted in advance of
construction. Patio lights not shown, landscaping indefinite,
roof not in accordance with previous plans. New plans more definite
shoula be l,.rnished cy owner before C .U . . !.r. Hex made motion
that drawings ce submitted at next meeting to conform to the
building now being constructed on Lot 21 . The new 4-plex to be
designed for Lot 22 should have plat drawing to same scale as
on Lot 21, with setback and landscaping clearly indicated. Mr.Storm
seconded. Approved by Messrs. Storm, Beekman, Rex, and Mmes .Becker
and Stewart.
Item #3: Holland 3-Unit. Hi hland Beach_Drive,Lot No.12
Mr . Neil Holland was present who submitted dra°wings .Garbage area
to be fenced off, lighted, and perhaps landseaped.Air conditioning
unit to be landscapdd.Samples su:mitted of columns, Screening,
doors, lighting; windows and wall colors to be grey, wnite roof
and columns. Hedge to go around parking area, and planings were
suggested as dividers between patio areatr . Motion was made by
ars. Becker to approve the building plan, but landscaping plan to
be submitt . : for approval a- the next meeting, and color selections
to be re-sucmitted also fo a- •roval. Seconded by Mr. Rex and

Item #4: Lanz, A. 3617 So. Ocean, Lot East - 9 Units
Present \ ere representatives Spain and ieJoto. A preliminary talk
was made by I'r. Spain in connection with dra ing of building and
site model, together with blueprints. The Board recommended
improved access to beach from balcony, indication of 50' beach
setback, and details of under building parking, lighting, colors .
The general consensus of the Board is that the roof elevation on
east side is not offensive.
Item #5: Regency Highland3912 .o_OceanBlvd.-Decorative
Shutter Corporation
Mr. Barzler, representative, gave a preliminary review of window
and balcony shutters, vertical type . The Board will inquireand
study the effect of hurrican shutters on condominiums during this
next month.

Item #5: Boca Hi "D" Condo,(\4750 So .Ocean rive
Present , ere representatives Delaney and witty who submitted a
preliminary review of acove building to be in front of Aterdeen
Arms and of greater t .ght; also under buildlug parking eliminted
with parking area around the building; no one-bedroom apartments.
Since Mrs. Jackie Becker' s termof office expires July 2, 1976,
motion was made by Mr. Rex, torecommend to the T. wn that her term
• of office be extended for another two years . oec-:nded by Mr.
Beekman and approved by Messrs . Storm, Beekman, Rex, and
Mrs . Stewart.
Mrs . Stewart recommended that if the agenda at future regular
meetings extends beyond three items, the meeting then be set back
to 7:00 P.M. , ins .ead cf the present 7:30 Y .M. Approves by all .
Mr. Rex made motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:30 P.M, seconded
by Mr. Storm and approved i.y Messrs . Beekman, Storm, Sex and
Mmes . Becke_ and Stewart.
