1977.07.28_CAB_Minutes_Regular MINUTES : COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD, REGULAR MEETING, JULY 28, 1977 . AMBASSADORS SOUTH, REGENCY HIGHLAND, DOBRZYNSKI, RAISIN, TOWN PARK, BOCA COVE. The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Rex at 7 : 30 p.m. Present: Chairman D. Rex, Vice Chairman, J. Schubert, M. Beekman, B. J. Stewart, J. Becker, W. Atkinson, (Alternate) . Absent: S. Jaffe (Alternate) Chairman Rex called for a motion for approval of the minutes of the meeting of June 30, 1977. Mrs. Stewart offered the motion to postpone the approval of the minutes until later in the meeting to permit con- sideration of the Boca Cove sign application, previously tabled. Mr. Beekman seconded the motion. Motion approved by aye votes, J. Becker, M. Beekman, B. J. Stewart, D. Rex, J. Schubert. F. A. FINAL REVIEW. GENERAL COMMENTS OF BOARD Lettering on drawing is to scale. Sign is illuminated. Board noted sign may be removed by Florida State Department of Transportation. REGENCY HIGHLAND-3912 SOUTH OCEAN BLVD.-LOT 56-PLAN CHANGE, LANDSCAPING AND POOL. ARMANDO DEHESA, ROBERT G. CURRIE AND ASSOCIATES AND MR. MELVIN T. GOLDBERGER, REGENCY HIGHLAND, PRESENT. FINAL REVIEW. GENERAL COMMENTS OF THE BOARD If Mr. Schott ' s inspection shows a discrepancy in the application and 1I plan, the Board will expect a landscape plan for that portion of the project which has yet to receive a C/O. Mr. Goldberger indicated that he would suffer serious financial loss if he were delayed until the next Regular Meeting of the Community Appearance Board. BOARD DECISION AND VOTING Motion made by Mrs. Becker that before the Board consider the plans sub- mitted July 28, 1977, the Board receive from Mr. Schott, Building Official, an accounting after an on site inspection as to whether the landscaping and building plans as originally approved have been conformed to by the builder. Seconded by Mrs . Stewart. Mr. Beekman, aye, Mrs. Becker, Mrs . Stewart, Mr. Rex, aye, Mr. Schubert, aye. The motion was unanimously approved. BOARD DECISION AND VOTING Motion made by Mrs. Stewart to accept plans as amended. Mr. Dobrzynski to provide a sample of manufacturers description of exterior lights within 60 days from date. Motion seconded by Mrs. Becker. All aye votes-Mr. Beekman, Mrs. Becker, Mr. Schubert, Mr. Rex, Mrs. Stewart. Motion unanimously approved. RAISIN, JAMES (OWNER) -JACK BUTLER, DEVELOPER. LOU DE MARCO, APPLICANT- 1101 HIGHLAND BEACH DRIVE, LOT 16 BL 2, BEL LIDO. MR. JACK BUTLER, PRESENT. FINAL REVIEW. BOARD DECISION AND VOTING Motion made by Mrs . Stewart, seconded by Mr. Beekman to accept the plans with notations including the following items which are to be supplied at a later date : 1. Lighting schedule 2 . Trees - 4 new 3. Patio finish 4. Color chips for cedar stain The above to be supplied within 60 days from date (7-28-77) . Aye votes- Mr. Beekman, Mrs . Stewart, Mr. Schubert, Mr. Rex, Mr. Atkinson (Alter- nate, Mrs. Becker, excused at 9:45 p.m. ) Motion unanimously approved. TOWN RECREATION PARK-TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH-3614 SOUTH OCEAN BLVD.PRELIM- INARY REVIEW. After examination and discussion of the plan submitted, dated April, 1977, the following suggestions were made and questions raised: Suggestions : 1. Tennis courts should be located on south side of the property to preserve the natural pine grove area located on the north side of the property. The north area to be used as a picnic and walking area. 2 . Limit tennis courts to a total of two courts and designate major portions of area for picnic use. Questioned: 1. Need for water pavilion and walkway. 2. Need for band stand. n 3. Limited parking facilities. Comments : 1. Serious consideration should be given to garage landscaping if Town plans to build a park. 2 . Putting green and pitch and putt, not recommended. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Mrs . Stewart offered the motion to accept the minutes of the meeting of June 30, 1977, previously examined, with corrections. Seconded by Mr. Beekman, unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS Chairman Rex noted Vice Chairman James M. Schubert' s term of office has been extended for a 2 year period -from August 1977, to August 1979. Cards indicating members terms of office will be mailed to each member. ADJOURNMENT 'es Mr. Beekman offered the motion to adjourn, seconded by Mrs. Stewart.
