CONNOR. , ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Chairman Rex called the meeting to order at 7 :45 p.m. The Agenda is Attachment "A" . Present: D. K. Rex, A. Leng, B . J. Stewart, W. L. Atkinson, J. M. Schubert, N. Hile. Absent: J. Becker MINUTES Minutes of the meeting of July 27, 1978, previously submitted to the members of the Board for examination and approval, were reviewed. Motion by Mrs . Stewart to approve the minutes as amended to read as follows : (Under Am- bassadors East, Sign Changes, General Comments of the Board) , "Chairman Rex noted the sign reading 'models ' has been in violation for some time and should be removed" . Motion seconded by Mrs . Leng. All aye votes . Mr. Rex noted that this sign has been removed. DREAM HOUSE, SIGN, 4217 SOUTH OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 32E. JAMES MAC KAY, OWNER. NO REPRESENTATIVE PRESENT. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Schubert, to disapprove application for sign as presented. All aye votes. O'GRADY, PRESENT BOARD DECISION AND VOTING Following examination of plans presented by Mr . O'Grady, Mr. Atkinson moved to approve the plans showing elevations replacing originals for this lot (#20) that were not previously approved. Seconded by Mr. Schubert. All aye votes . TOWNHOUSES OF HIGHLAND BEACH, LOT 123/124, SOUTH OCEAN BLVD. , P. CONNOR, OWNER. MARC WEINER, REPRESENTATIVE, PRESENT. GENERAL COMMENTS OF THE BOARD Chairman Rex advised that a number of signs advertising the sale of Townhouses to be built on Lots 123 & 124 have been erected on this property and do not n conform with Town Ordinances . Discussion of proposed parking facility on west side of road, followed. Attachment "B" . The Board advised Mr. Weiner that exterior paint chips, roof tile sample and exterior lighting fixtures schedule must be provided. Additional information provided should include surface material description, window tint, driveway material and width, garbage receptacle area located on plans . Mrs . Stewart suggested all C. A. B. applicants be given copy of the Sign Ordinance. BOARD DECISION AND VOTING No action taken. Chairman Rex will meet with F. Hamzik, Building Official and J. A. Boscove, Planning Commission Chairman as soon as possible and contact Mr. Weiner at a later date with reference to procedure to be followed by Mr. Weiner. In reply to memorandum dated August 24, 1978, from Building Official Francis Hamzik, the following information is to be transmitted to Mr . Hamzik: RE: BOXWOOD TERRACE - SIGN Sign is illegal, improper size. Please advise C.A.B. further. n WUNDERLICH C.A.B. records do not indicate receipt of lighting schedules for Lot 2, Bl. 2, and Lot 14, Bl. 2 . Air conditioners not hidden as required on southernmost building, as required. Information requested as to outcome of action taken regarding hand painted sign, and apparent removal of shrubbery from one of Mr. Wunderlich ' s properties and placed on another. DOBRZYNSKI LOT 13, BLOCK 1, BEL LIDO No action taken. Request Building Official to report on sea grapes planted on property. Mrs. Stewart noted disapproval of black asphalt driveway. REGENCY HIGHLAND SIGN Members of the C.A.B. feel there may be one or more signs on Regency Highland East property, that have not been approved by X.A.B. HIGHLAND TOWERS Chairman Rex noted work evidently under way on West Side of Highland Towers property. No application presented to C.A.B. as of this date. NEW BUSINESS i-+,Election of Officers was held. Mr. Schubert nominated Mr. Atkinson for Chairman, seconded by Mrs. Stewart. Mr. Hile moved that nominations for Chairman be closed. Mr. Schubert, Mr. Rex, Mrs . Stewart, Mrs. Leng, Mr. Hile , voted aye. Newly elected Chairman William L. Mr. J. M. Schubert for Vice Chairman, seconded by Mrs. Stewart. Mr. Rex, Mrs . Stewart, Mr. Atkinson, Mrs. Leng, Mr. Hile, voted aye. Mr. Schubert will continue as Vice Chairman. These terms to be for one year, from August 24, 1978 to August 24, 1979. ADJOURNMENT Mrs . Stewart moved to adjourn the meeting, Mrs . Leng second. The regular meeting was adjourned at 9:50 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Community Appearance Board is scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 1978, at 7 :30 p.m. APPROVED: William L.
