SCHLAPOBERSKY, TOWNHOUSES. MAY 8, 1979.
Chairman Schubert called the meeting to order at 10:30 a .m. , advising this
was a meeting of the Community Appearance Board to conduct a field trip of
Lots #102 East and #102 West, SR AlA and Lot #29, East, SR AlA. The Agenda
is attachment "A" .
Present: J. M. Schubert, A. Leng, B. J. Stewart, N. Hile,
G. Lorenz.
Absent: J. Becker, D. K. Rex.
Also present were Mr. J. Suiter, O'Brien, Suiter & O' Brien, Inc. , Mr. Charles
Toth, Descan Architects, Inc. , Mr. Gary Colfecchio, and Mr. George Gentile of
Gee & Jenson, and Mr. Tarmo Purre, Owner' s Representative.
LOT #102 EAST CANSTATE REALTY "BEACH WALK EAST"
At the start of the tour of Lot #102, East, Chairman Schubert advised the
representatives present that the trees to be retained were to be marked
with tape and index numbers, root pruned and left for a period of 60 days
after root pruning. Chairman Schubert noted a more permanent marking
system might be necessary and recommended metal tags .
Disposition of trees on Lot #102 E, was agreed to by representatives present
and members of the Board present. O'Brien, Suiter & O 'Brien, Inc. , sub-
mitted a tree survey (Attachment "B" ) , indicating recommended disposition
of trees.
It was agreed that a Community Appearance Board member would be at the site
at the time land clearing is done. Some small trees and vegetation on site
will be tagged and made available to the public . Dune vegetation is to
remain. Trees tentatively identified as pidgeon plum and tagged, are to
be retained on the dune.
Chairman Schubert recommended driveway area and building site be staked out
to indicate location of trees to be retained. Mr. Gentile agreed to stake
out area and to save any additional trees marked by the Board members.
Representatives of Canstate Realty agreed to contact Florida Atlantic
University relative to trees to be made available to the university.
LOT #102 WEST CANSTATE REALTY "BEACH WALK WEST"
Mr. Schubert, Mr. Lorenz, Mr . Colfecchio ,of Gee & Jenson, Inc. , examined
beach walk area of Lot #102 West and advised members of the clearing to be
done to allow flushing to take place. Mangrove trees will be relocated to
the west of Lot #102 West, toward the Intracoastal Waterway, to lower the
grade level. Australian pines are to be removed. The retaining wall
elarea was examined.

i"1 Mr. Gentile agreed to determine if gumbo limbo trees will tolerate brackish
water, and advise the members of the CAB. Trees to be saved will be put in
holding area at the front (east) of Lot #10 West, in the proposed parking
area.
A sketch of the driveway revision for Lot #102 East will be presented at the
special meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 15, 1979 at 7 :00 p.m. The
Canstate application will be examined at 8 : 30 p.m.
LOT #29 IVAN SCHLAPOBERSKY, SOUTH OCEAN BLVD. EAST. FOUR UNIT STRUCTURE
Chairman Schubert, Mrs . Leng and Mrs . Stewart inspected the site. Tree
survey and plans are to be examined at meeting scheduled for May 31, 1979.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Chairman Schubert noted Boca Highland was to be advised their application
will be reviewed at the regular meeting scheduled for May 31, 1979 (north
garage, Dalton Place) . Mr. Byron Maharry and Mr. Richard Rodgers were
notified on May 9, 1979 and letter mailed May 11, 1979. (Attachment "C" . )
A letter is to be written to Mr. Roy Flack advising him that the Board
requests they allow an additional thirty (30) days before transplanting
root pruned trees on the Parker Highlands project property, Lot #13. (Attach-
ment D" ) .
ADJOURNMENT
Mrs. Stewart moved to adjourn the meeting, Mrs. Leng seconded. Mr. Schubert,
Nrs . Leng and Mrs. Stewart voted aye. The meeting called for a field trip
was adjourned at 1:50 p.m.
