Chairman Schubert called the meeting to order advising this was a regular
meeting of the Community Appearance Board. The Agenda is Attachment "A" .

MINUTES
Chairman Schubert advised the first order of business to be examination
of the minutes of the meeting held June 7, 1979, recessed from the meeting
held May 31, 1979. Motion by J. Becker, second by N. Hile, to approve
minutes as amended; paragraph seven to read 'OCEAN TERRACE, LOT #101 WEST,
3210 S/O BLVD. PROJECT NAME OCEAN TERRACE WEST" . Paragraph ten, delete
"No sign allowed on sales trailer" , delete "Driveway should be only fifteen

parking area will be adequately shielded.

LANDSCAPE
Motion by B. J. Stewart, second by N. Hile, to "approve the plan for "BEACH
WALK WEST, LOT #102 WEST, CANSTATE REALTY, with landscaping plan showing
trees as determined by field trip of June 18, 1979, (Attachment "B" ) , to be
relocated to west site and the new additional landscaping. Should these re-
located trees die, the diameter wood area shall be replaced with new trees
with the same diameter wood area. On both sites, the trees shall be root
1114. pruned and stay in the ground a minimum of sixty (60) days before they are
relocated provided we have normal weather conditions,except for the tree by
the sales trailer which is to be relocated right away. " All aye votes,

LANDSCAPE
Motion by B. J. Stewart, Second by N. Hile, "to approve the landscape
plan for the east side of Lot #102, CANSTATE REALTY, "BEACH WALK EAST" ,
with three parts, (1) Tree survey showing disposition of trees on site to
be kept, to be destroyed, to be relocated; (2) landscaping plan itself
which shows the new plans; (3) should the trees saved on site or relocated
die, that the diameter of trees lost will be replaced. " All aye votes,

Chairman Schubert noted there had not been a quorum present at the June 18,
1979, Field Trip at Lot #102 East and West. Members present, J. M. Schubert
and B. J. Stewart, "made certain inspections and made tentative commitments
of the Board subject to our commitments being ratified by the full Board at
the meeting of June 28, 1979. Location of sales trailer, tagging of trees
to be saved, those not to be saved, those to be relocated, were noted. "

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Following examination of Minutes of the meeting of May 31, 1979, motion
by N. Hile, second by G. G. Lorenz, to accept the minutes as presented. All
aye votes, J. Becker, B. J. Stewart, N. Hile, G. G. Lorenz, J. M. Schubert.
Mr. Schubert noted that Town Manager E. W. Roberts had requested that the
CAB arrange for a representative of this Board to accompany the Building
Inspector when he makes final inspections, for the purpose of issuing C/O' s
on these projects. The thought being that a member of the Board would be
better qualified to judge whether the landscape plan meets the requirements
that this Board laid out when the developers appeared. At the conclusion
of a general discussion, motion was made by J. Becker, second by N. Hile,
that the first of these inspections be done on a basis as a field trip with
all of the members being invited to participate and thereafter, that members
of the Board be available on an alphabetical basis rotating service on a
monthly basis. All aye votes, J. M. Schubert, N. Hile, B. J. Stewart, J.
Becker, G. G. Lorenz. If there is an emergency, members will contact other
" members of the Board for replacement. Mr. Hile noted he will not be avail-
able during August 1979. The recording secretary is to note on the Agenda
under "Unfinished Business" the name of the member to be contacted for the
month.

Members discussed the revised Application for Review form and changes made
thereon. It was agreed Chairman Schubert and Mr. Hile will discuss the
proposed form with Building Official F. Hamzik.Motion by N.Hile, second
by J. Becker to approve form. No vote.
Chairman Schubert read letter dated June 20, 1979, from Town Manager E. W.
Roberts, relative to Canstate Realty and Paul W. Hoffman petitions received
by the Area Planning Board (Attachment "B") . These petitions are for per-
mits from the U. S. Department of the Army Corps of Engineers for excavation
and construction on Highland Beach Town Lots owned by the petitioners.
ADJOURNMENT
The next regular meeting of the Community Appearance Board is scheduled for
Thursday, July 26, 1979, at 7 :30 p.m. The Agenda closes on Thursday,
July 19, 1979.
Mr. Hile moved to adjourn the meeting, Mrs. Becker seconded. The meeting
was adjourned at 11:40 p.m.
