ROYAL HIGHLAND, LOT #20 THRU #28 EAST HIDDEN HARBOR CLUB, LOTS #59, 60, 62, 65, 69 WEST. Chairman Amelie Leng called the regular meeting to order at 7:31 p.m. The agenda is attached. Present: A. Leng, G. G. Lorenz, N. C. Martin, A. M. Giglio MINUTES Minutes of the meeting held December 18, 1981, were examined. Page two, paragraph one was revised to read as follows, under 'New Business ' : ' "Mr. Gilbert Lorenz read letter (attached) addressed to the Town Commission, relative to posting a cash bond in connection with issuance of temporary certificates of occupancy" . Mr. Lorenz noted amendment to_.be made to paragraph one, page one under "HIDDEN HARBOR CLUB" . The review for HIDDEN HARBOR was 'postponed until a later time at this meeting. At the time of the review Mr. Lorenz made the following motion: "That the approval of the landscaping plan as given at meeting of December 18, 1981, be amended to read as follows: The revised landscaping plan be approved with the proviso that existing trees shown on the plan be protected and that only those trees in the way of construct- ing the planned roads, parking area and sales trailer site be removed in r such a way that the rim of Australian pines be left standing around the construction parking lot and the south end of the visitors parking lot. " All aye votes, Mr. Lorenz, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Giglio and Mrs. Leng. Mr. Lorenz moved to approve the minutes as amended, Mrs. Giglio seconded, Mr. Lorenz, Mrs. Leng, Mrs. Giglio and Mrs. Martin voted aye. CARRON HOUSE. FIRST CITY CORPORATION LOT 13 WEST. 4600 5/0 BLVD. ROBERT Num PAX CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (SOCA HIGHLAND) AND W. T?FT BRADSHAW, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT. FINAL LANDSCAPING. GENERAL COMMENTS OF THE BOARD Chairman Leng advised the members of the Board present that a letter dated January 28, 1981, advising that Boca Highland, Carron House, has been issued a citation by the Code Enforcement Board, relative to a damaged sea grape tree, and are to appear before the Code Enforcement Board at 3 :00 p.m. on February 13, 1981. BOARD DECISION AND VOTING - FENCE Motion by Mr. Lorenz that'existing trees along AlA be protected by a 4 barricade completely surrounding trees and a portion of the barricade facing AlA be a split rail fence not to exceed 42 inches in height. Also the construction fence is to remain in place. If and when it needs to be moved for excavation, it will be again erected: Second, Mrs. Martin. Martin, "that the landscape plan, as amended, be accepted with the provision that Mr. Bradshaw will look into and submit within ten days, a revision to replace some of the new trees along AlA with native trees such as gumbo limbo and mimusops." All aye votes, Mrs. Leng, Mr. Lorenz, Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Giglio. TRAFALGAR OF HIGHLAND BEACH, LOT# 109, EAST AND WEST. TWO TEMPORARY SIGNS . 2917 S/O BLVD. WALETHA DEVELOPMENT CORP. BILL ALGUIRE, REPRESENTATIVE PRESENT. BOARD DECISION AND VOTING Motion by Mrs . Giglio, second by Mrs. Martin, to approve sign with a proviso that address be added as a part of the existing pendant, on the east side. Mrs . Martin, Mrs. Leng, Mrs . Giglio, Mr. Lorenz voted aye. Motion by Mrs. Martin to approve tennis court fence at Trafalgar West with notes as written and signed on plan. Second Mr. Lorenz. All aye votes, Mrs . Giglio, Mrs. Martin, Mr. Lorenz, and Mrs . Martin, second, Mr. Lorenz, that landscape plans be tabled until next Community Appearance Board meeting. All aye votes, Mrs. Leng, Mrs. Giglio, Mrs . Martin, Mr. Lorenz. BOARD DECISION AND VOTING Following preliminary examination of plans,members agreed to table review until next meeting of the Community Appearance Board. W. WUNDERLICH. (A. FRANKINO) 4210 S/0 BLVD. FINAL C/O INSPECTION BOARD DECISION AND VOTING Motion by Mrs. Giglio, second, Mrs. Martin, that approval of final C/O be tabled since landscaping does not conform to the plan submitted. C/O INSPECTIONS - REPORTS A.FRANKINO - 4210 S/O BLVD. LOT 5 BLOCK 2 . FINAL C/O INSPECTION-WUNDERLICH (Cont"d. ) Mrs . Giglio will provide list of landscaping items in question on the subject property, 4210 S/0 Blvd. , Lot 5 Block 2, Frankino. Mr. Lorenz noted that Mr. George G. Torboss, Highland Beach resident, had indicated an interest in joining the Community Appearance Board. Mrs. Leng will contact Mr. Torboss, relative to the vacancy for second alternate. Mrs . Leng noted receipt of letter dated February 3, 1981, subject "Exterior Lights on East Side of Dalton Place Buildings" , copy attached. Receipt of memorandum from Town Manager E. W. Roberts was noted by Chairman Leng, advising that a copy of the CAB agenda is to be mailed to each app- licant prior to the regular meeting. Chairman Leng noted that all members are to check their mail folders for material relating to "Officers and Employees; defense and indemnification. " copy attached. Copy of letter received from former Chairman Betty Jean Stewart was read by Chairman Leng, copy attached. Members are to check folder for list which Mrs. Leng will compile for schedule for C/O inspections for 1981. ADJOURNMENT Mr. Lorenz moved to adjourn the meeting, Mrs. Martin seconded the motion. The regular meeting was adjourned at 12 :05 A.M. The next regular meeting of the Community Appearance Board is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, 1981, at 7 :30 P.M.
