1990.01.15_CAB_Minutes_Special • TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD SPECIAL MEETING Monday, January 15, 1990 1 : 30 P.M. Co-Chairman Frank Savino called this Special Meeting of the Community Appearance Board to order at 1 : 30 P.M. in Commission Chambers . Present were Co-Chairman Savino and Regular Members Reginald Towner and Paul Heetmann . Also present were Building Official Harry Heithaus and members of the general public . CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY INSPECTION, 1125 BEL AIR DRIVE, BLOCK 1, LOT 11, BEL LIDO. GARY GORDON/OWNER. Mr . Savino explained that an inspection of this site was made by him- self, Mr . Galizia and Mr . Heetmann on January 12. Due to the freeze on December 24 and 25, 1989, Mr . Savino continued , many plants on the site were destroyed , as well as four (4 ) trees that may or may not have sur- vived. n Also because of the freeze, three (3) norohnia trees that are to be ' planted on AIA have not yet been put in place; however , Mr . Savino ex- plained that Mr . Gordon will be planting the trees shortly and has put $900 (approximate cost of the trees) in escrow with the Building De- partment . Mr . Savino then advised Mr . Gordon that members of the Board will be re-inspecting the site 60 days from the January 12 date . At that time the members will determine if plants have been replaced and if the four (4 ) trees have revived . If the trees have not recovered , then Mr . Gordon will replace them. A MOTION was then made by Mr . Savino/Mr . Towner that a Certificate of Occupancy be recommended for the Gordon residence, 1125 Bel Air Drive, Block 1, Lot 11, Bel Lido . A Roll Call Vote resulted as follows : Mr . Heetmann AYE Mr . Towner AYE Mr . Savino AYE Mr . Gordon thanked the members for their favorable decision and in- formed them that he will donate the three trees to be planted on AIA to -Community Appearance Board Special Meeting - Minutes January 15, 1990 Page 2 of 2 the Town. Chairman Savino thanked Mr . Gordon and requested that when the trees are selected they be Florida State #1 or better . He also told Mr . Gordon that the Greening Committee will place a plaque on one of the trees, with an inscription of Mr . Gordon' s choosing . There being no further business to come before the Board , the meeting was properly adjourned by Mr . Towner/Mr .
