COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING - MINUTES
Monday, October 10, 1994 9 : 30 A.M.
Chair Elvine Gordon called the Special Meeting to order in Com-
mission Chambers at 9 : 30 A.M. , advising its purpose was to consider
recommendation of a Certificate of Occupancy for the following:
Single Family Residence at 2434 South Ocean Boulevard,
Lot 129West (North) ; Requested by H. Frank Lahage Assoc .
Deputy Town Clerk Doris Trinley called the roll . Others present
were Vice Chair Eugene I . Behrman and Members John W. Littlejohn,
Paul Heetmann, Frank Arenella, Miriam S . Zwick and Theresa M.
Colarullo.
Building Official Lee Leffingwell and Architect John D. Conway were
also in attendance .
Mrs . Zwick, who had inspected the property with Mrs . Gordon,
advised that those items checked were in accordance with plans;
however, she noted that the swale was not as yet landscaped. In
response, Mr. Conway, who represented the project, explained the
reason for this was that two new houses were constructed on this
site (Lot 129W north and south) simultaneously, and as the
residence on the south lot was not yet completed, heavy equipment
and/or delivery trucks would still be crossing the swale area;
therefore, it would be futile to landscape at this time . However,
he did assure that the work would be done as soon as feasibly
possible .
Responding to concerns about standing water in the same area that
is causing the bike path to deteriorate, Mr. Conway said he would
mention this to the general contractor regarding repair.
Concluding discussion, MOTION was made by MRS. ZWICK/MR. ARENELLA
to recommend that a Certificate of Occupancy be issued for the
residence . Roll call met with unanimous roll call vote .
There being no further business to come before the Board at this
time, and upon MOTION by MR. LITTLEJOHN/MRS . COLARULLO, the meeting
was adjourned at 9 :40 AM.
