Chair Elvine Gordon called the Regular Meeting to order in Commission Chambers at 9:30 A.M. Acting Town Clerk Doris Trinley called the roll. The Chair, Vice Chair Eugene I. Behrman and Members Paul Heetmann, Frank Arenella, Miriam S. Zwick and Theresa M. Colarullo were present. Building Official Lee Leffingwell and past Member John W. Littlejohn were also present. Except for today's applicant, no other members of the general public were in attendance. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MR. ARENELLA/MRS. ZWICK, the following sets of Minutes were unanimously approved: November 17, 1994 Regular Meeting December 06, 1994 Special Meeting NEW BUSINESS Review of Plans for Wood Deck Addition; Fence; Gate; and Replacement Landscaping at 1125 Boca Cove Lane, Lot 15S.Submitted by Norman Rogers/Owner Ms. Leffingwell advised that this project was "after-the-fact, " as it had already been completed before Mr. Rogers was aware that he must have permission from his homeowner's association, as well as a permit from the Town. She further advised that at this time, all permission had been received from the homeowner's association and the project met all Town Code requirements. Mr. Rogers, representing his project, corroborated Ms. Leffingwell's statements. Discussion and plan review followed, with members' questions being answered to their satisfaction. In conclusion, the following MOTION was made by MR. BEHRMAN/MR. ARENELLA: r Community Appearance Board Regular Meeting - Minutes January 26, 1995 Page 2 of 3 THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE APPROVES PLANS AS SUBMITTED BY NORMAN ROGERS/OWNER FOR WOOD DECK ADDITION; FENCE, GATE; AND REPLACEMENT LANDSCAPING AT 1125 BOCA COVE LANE, LOT 15S. Roll call met with unanimous favorable vote. Before proceeding to the next agenda item, Chair Gordon reminded the members that the proposed sign ordinance would be an item for discussion at the Town Commission Workshop Meeting on January 31, and would be voted on by the Commission at the February 07 Regular Meeting. She urged attendance at both meetings. In keeping with the request of the writer, the Chair then read into the record a letter from resident Diane Heiberg, which stated her dislike for the holiday bows placed on the Town's trees. The letter was accepted as information. GREENING COMMITTEE Mr. Behrman advised a number of trees had been recently purchased, which included one within the interior grounds of the Town Hall complex, and noted that this area would continue to be a good source for those wishing to purchase existing trees. The number of missing plaques, due probably to recent foul weather which caused many trees to topple, was also noted; it was the consensus that Greening Committee "teams" check these out in the near future so proper replacements can be put in place. OTHER Acknowledging past Member John Littlejohn, whose allowable 6-year term expired in December 1994, the Chair thanked him for his dedicated and excellent service to the work of the CAB and the Greening Committee, and, on behalf of the Members, presented a certificate of appreciation. Mr. Littlejohn expressed his appreciation to all. ADJOURNMENT Announcing Mr. Arenella as Inspector for February, with the agenda closing on February 9 for the February 23 Regular Meeting, the Chair adjourned the meeting at 9:55 A.M. upon MOTION by MR. BEHRMAN/MRS. COLARULLO. dmt Community Appearance Board Regular Meeting - Minutes January 26, 1995 Page 3 of 3 APPROVE: Elvine Gordon, Chairce Vat-- / ` __ Eugene 1.
