COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
MINUTES
Thursday, May 25, 1995 9:30 A.M.
Chair Elvine Gordon called the Regular Meeting to order at 9:30 A.M.
Deputy Town Clerk Gretchen Dayton called the roll. Present were Chair Gordon, Vice
Chair Eugene Behrman and Members Frank Arenella, Miriam Zwick, Theresa Colarullo,
Norman Stevens and Abraham Futernick.
Building Official Lee Leffingwell and members of the general public were also present.
Chair Gordon welcomed Mr. Futernick as a new member.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Upon MOTION by MRS. ZWICK/MR. ARENELLA the Minutes of the March 30, 1995
Regular Meeting were unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Review preliminary plans for three patio villas, at 1103 and 1107 Highland Beach Drive,
Block 2, Lots 17 & 18, Bel Lido, submitted by Dominick Conte, Owner/Applicant.
Ms. Leffingwell stated that this application has a zoning variance with respect to interior
spacing between units, the Planning Board has given final approval with the Town
Commission reviewing the plans at their next workshop meeting.
The project will become a condominium association which will ensure maintenance and
repairs using common funds.
After review of the plans, and all questions answered to their satisfaction, the following
MOTION was made by MR. ARENELLA/MRS. ZWICK as follows:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL TO
PLANS FOR THREE PATIO VILLAS,AT 1103 AND 1107 HIGHLAND BEACH
DRIVE, BLOCK 2, LOTS 17 & 18, BEL LIDO, SUBMITTED BY DOMINICK
CONTE, OWNER/APPLICANT.
Roll call met with unanimous favorable vote.

OLD BUSINESS
None.
GREENING COMMITTEE
The following MOTION was made by MR. BEHRMAN/COLARULLO as follows:
NOMINATE MR. NORMAN STEVENS FOR CHAIRMAN OF THE GREENING
COMMITTEE.
Roll call met with unanimous favorable vote.
Mr. Behrman reported that $9,853. was taken from the Greening Committee's Fund to
replant and anchor many uprooted trees due to the severe weather last winter. There is
$9,853. remaining in this fund.
It was suggested to raise the tree plaque contribution from $300. to $500. when existing
trees are all marked, due to the cost of purchasing and planting new trees. The Board
Members agreed to check the condition of tree plaques in their areas and notify town hall
if they need replacement.
ris At this time, Chair Gordon presented Mr. Paul Heetman with a Certificate of Appreciation
and thanked him for his six years of service to the Community Appearance Board.
There was no inspector selected for the month of June.
The next Community Appearance Board Regular meeting will be held on June 29, at 9:30
A.M., with the agenda closing on June 15.
ADIOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was
adjourned upon MOTION by MR. BEHRMAN/MR. ARENELLA, at 10:10 A.M.
