1997.03.27_CAB_Minutes_Regular PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD REGULAR MEETING Thursday, March 27, 1997 Page 1 of 3 Chairwoman Elvine Gordon called the Regular Meeting to order in Commission Chambers at 9 :30 A.M. Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll . Present were Chair Elvine Gordon, and Members Frank Arenella, Miriam S . Zwick, Theresa M. Colarullo, Norman Stevens and Abraham Futernick . Vice Chair Eugene I . Behrman was absent . Also present was Building Official James Du Vall and members of the general public . APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MR. ARENELLA/MRS . ZWICK, the minutes of the February 27, 1997 Regular meeting were unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR CONSTRUCTION OF EXISTING GUARD HOUSE AT 3215 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 98-99, BLOCK 2, AMBASSADOR EAST CONDO ASSOCIATION. ED D'AMATO-MANAGER; CHARLES TOTH-ARCHITECT. Mr . D'Amato answered questions from the Board on the project . After review of the plans, the following MOTION was made by MR. FUTERNICK/MRS. COLARULLO: THE PLANNING BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR CONSTRUCTION OF EXISTING GUARD HOUSE AT 3215 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 98- 99, BLOCK 2 , AMBASSADOR EAST CONDO ASSOCIATION. ED D'AMATO-MANAGER; CHARLES TOTH-ARCHITECT. Rollcall met with unanimous vote . PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR FENCE INSTALLATION AT REAR OF PROPERTY (EXTENSION TO EXISTING FENCE) , FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1123 HIGHLAND BEACH DRIVE, #4 , LOT 22 , BLOCK 2 . BARBARA MITCHELL-OWNER; SOUTHERN FENCE-CONTRACTOR. Mr. Norton Gordon of Southern Fence presented the project to the Board and answered questions . After review of the plans, the following MOTION was made by MR. ARENELLA/MRS . ZWICK: THE PLANNING BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR FENCE INSTALLATION AT REAR OF PROPERTY (EXTENSION TO EXISTING FENCE) , FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1123 HIGHLAND BEACH DRIVE, #4, LOT 22, BLOCK 2 . BARBARA MITCHELL-OWNER; SOUTHERN FENCE-CONTRACTOR. Rollcall met with unanimous vote . Community Appearance Board March 27, 1997 Page 2 of 3 PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR FENCE INSTALLATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4314 TRANQUILITY DRIVE, LOT 6 , BLOCK 3 . MICHAEL PEVNY-OWNER; SOUTHERN FENCE-CONTRACTOR. Mr. Norton Gordon of Southern Fence presented the project to the Board, stating that as of that morning, the owners made several minor changes to the plans . Mr. DuVall recorded his objection to amended plans coming before the board without his knowledge and review of same . He looked at amended plans and stated that he had no objection to changes, but did state that the applicant improperly cane before the Board. After review of plans, MOTION was made by MRS . ZWICK/MRS . COLARULLO as follows : THE PLANNING BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL TO AMENDED PLANS FOR FENCE INSTALLATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4314 TRANQUILITY DRIVE, LOT 6, BLOCK 3 . MICHAEL PEVNY-OWNER; SOUTHERN FENCE-CONTRACTOR PROVIDED THE APPLICANT PROVIDE AMENDED SET OF PLANS TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD. Rollcall met with unanimous vote . OTHER BUSINESS Mr. Jim McGuiness of 1000 Bel Air Drive asked the Chair if he could speak on an issue which was presented to the Board several years ago regarding drainage and landscaping on Bel Air Drive . The situation was discussed, and Mrs. Gordon stated that she will look into it and hold discussion on same at the next CAB meeting in April . Mr . Arenella was named inspector for the month of April . With no other business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn was made by MR. ARENELLA/MR.
