1997.07.31_CAB_Minutes_Regular PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD REGULAR MEETING Thursday, July 31 , 1997 9 : 30 A.M. Acting Chair Frank Arenella called the Regular Meeting to order in Town Hall at 9 : 30 A.M. Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll . Present were Acting Chair Frank Arenella and Members Norman Stevens, Abraham Futernick. Miriam S . Zwick, Theresa M. Colarullo and Frank Savino. Vice Chair Eugene I . Behrman was absent . Also present were Building Official James Du Vall and members of the general public . APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MRS . ZWICK/MRS. COLARULLO, the minutes of the May 29, 1997 Regular meeting were unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS r Election of Officers Election of Officers was deferred until the next regularly scheduled meeting . PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE/POOL; CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW TWO STORY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4001 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT #53 , BLOCK 3 . JOHN D. CONWAY (ARCHITECT) ; PETER KULIN (OWNER. ) Mr. Conway was present to discuss subject plans, and presented a color rendition to the East and West Facade of the home, showing chosen colors . Mr. Conway stated that he is still awaiting state approval regarding the pool construction within the CCCL line . Landscape architect presented landscaping plans . With all questions answered satisfactorily, the following MOTION was made by MRS . ZWICK/MRS. COLARULLO: THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE AND POOL (PENDING STATE APPROVAL FOR POOL) , AND CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW TWO STORY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4001 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT #53 , BLOCK 3 . JOHN D. CONWAY(ARCHITECT) ; PETER KULIN (OWNER. ) Rolicall met with unanimous vote . Community Appearance Board July 31, 1997 Page 2 of 2 PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR INSTALLATION OF ALUMINUM RAIL FENCE, WALK GATES, CHAIN LINK FENCE AND FANGUARD ON SEAWALL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2700 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 120W, BLOCK 1 . SOUTHERN FENCE (APPLICANT) ; PETER KOKINAKOS (OWNER. ) After discussion of subject plans, the Board asked about required landscaping at fence site . Mr. Du Vall stated that landscaping plans were not submitted, but that the owner is required by Town Code to conceal chain link fence with landscaping. The following MOTION was made by MRS. ZWICK/MRS . COLARULLO: THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR INSTALLATION OF ALUMINUM RAIL FENCE, WALK GATES, CHAIN LINK FENCE AND FANGUARD ON SEAWALL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2700 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 120W, BLOCK 1, ON CONDITION THAT THE OWNER PLANT LANDSCAPING AT FENCE SITE, IN COMPLIANCE WITH TOWN CODE. SOUTHERN FENCE (APPLICANT) ; PETER KOKINAKOS (OWNER. ) Roll call met with unanimous vote . Inspector for the month of August will be Mrs . Zwick . The next Regular Meeting is scheduled for August 28, 1997 . OTHER BUSINESS There was discussion regarding the Greening Committee, and the possibility of the committee being turned back over to the CAB. Mr. Savino expressed interest in working on subject committee . With no other business to come before the board, MOTION to adjourn was made by MR. STEVENS/MR. ARENELLA at 10 : 05 a .m.
