1997.11.20_CAB_Minutes_Regular TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD REGULAR MEETING - MINUTES Thursday, November 20 , 1997 9 : 30 A.M. Chairman Eugene I . Behrman called the Regular Meeting to order in Town Hall at 9 : 30 A.M. Town Clerk Doris Trinley called the roll . Present were Chairman Eugene I . Behrman, Vice Chair Theresa M. Colarullo and Members Abraham Futernick, Miriam S . Zwick, Frank Savino, Jack Lanthier and Beverly Barr. Also present were Building Official Bob Dawson and members of the general public . Chairman Behrman acknowledged new Members Jack Lantheir and Beverly Barr, and welcomed them to the Board. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MR.SAVINO/MR. FUTERNICR, the minutes of the September 25 , 1997 Regular Meeting were unanimously approved. n NEW BUSINESS PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR BOCA COVE LANDSCAPING/WATER FOUNTAIN (CHANGE OF USE) /PAVILION ERECTION, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4510/4520 S. OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 15N. DOUGLAS MUMMAW (ARCHITECT) ; BOCA COVE CONDO ASSOC. ; RON POSNER (PRESIDENT. ) Following some background information presented by architect Douglas Mummaw, the members reviewed the plans with Mr. Mummaw, Building Official Bob Dawson and landscape architect Dan Carter. Questions were answered to the members' satisfaction. Concluding discussion, the following MOTION was made by MR. FUTERNICK/MRS ZWICK: THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR LANDSCAPING/WATER FOUNTAIN/PAVILION ERECTION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4510/4520 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 15N. Community Appearance Board Regular Meeting - Minutes November 20, 1997 Page 2 of 2 PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR INTERIOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING RESIDENCE; RENOVATION FROM ONE STORY TO TWO STORY WITHIN FOOTPRINT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4201 INTRACOASTAL DRIVE, LOT 27 , BLOCK 4 . JAG DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT (GEN.CONTRACTOR) ; KEN ADAMS (OWNER. ) Al Giaghetti, president of JAG Design and Development explained the project, following which the members reviewed plans with Mr. Giaghetti and Building Official Bob Dawson. Questions were answered to the members' satisfaction. Concluding discussion, the following MOTION was made by MRS . ZWICK/ MR. LANTHEIR: THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL TO PLANS FOR INTERIOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING RESIDENCE; RENOVATION FROM ONE STORY TO TWO STORY, WITHIN FOOTPRINT, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4201 INTRACOASTAL DRIVE, LOT 27 , BLOCK 4 . JAG DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT (GENERAL CONTRACTOR) ; KEN ADAMS (OWNER. ) Roll call met with unanimous favorable vote . !" OLD BUSINESS Chairman Behrman acknowledged past Member Frank Arenella, who recently completed his allowable 6-year term, and thanked him for his fine contributions to the work of the Board with the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation. CORRESPONDENCE A letter from R.M. Rankin, Inc . withdrawing application for a gazebo at the Arnold residence, 2474 S. Ocean Boulevard, which the CAB approved at their regular meeting on September 25, 1997, was accepted as information. OTHER Inspectors for the month of December are Vice Chairman Theresa M. Colarullo and Member Frank Savino . ADJOURNMENT With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn was made by MR.
