COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
Thursday, October 29 . 1998 9 : 30 A.M.
Chairperson Theresa M. Colarullo called the Regular Meeting to
order in Town Hall at 9 : 30 A.M.
Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll . Present were Chair
Colarullo, Members Miriam Zwick, Abraham Futernick, Beverly Barr.
Judith Lee Browner and Frank Savino. Neil W. Burd was absent .
Also present were Building Official Bob Dawson and members of the
general public .
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Upon MOTION by MRS . ZWICR/MR. SAVINO, the minutes of the September
24 , 1998 Regular Meeting were unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Chairperson Colarullo announced that new Member Neil Burd was
absent due to an item he was attending to for Mayor Voress . She
welcomed Mr. Burd to the Board.
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR SECOND STORY ADDITION ABOVE GARAGE AREA, ADD
A NEW FOUR CAR GARAGE WITH A BEDROOM; FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2355
S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 137 . APPLICANT: JOHN CONWAY / OWNER: DR. AND
MRS . VANCE ALOUPIS .
Mr. Conway was present to discuss the plans with the Board, stating
that the addition will add 1, 430 sq. feet to the home . After
review of the house and landscaping plans, the following MOTION was
made by MRS. ZWICR/MR. FUTERNICK:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR
SECOND STORY ADDITION ABOVE GARAGE AREA, ADD A NEW FOUR
CAR GARAGE WITH A BEDROOM; FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2355
S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 137 . APPLICANT: JOHN CONWAY / OWNER:
DR. AND MRS . VANCE ALOUPIS .
Motion met with unanimous vote .
PRELIMINARY REVIEW TO RENOVATE GARAGE, ENCLOSE BREEZEWAY, ADD 2ND
STORY ABOVE GARAGE/BREEZEWAY; FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2435 S . OCEAN
BLVD. , LOT 129 . APPLICANT/OWNER: MR. AND MRS . MULLER.
Jud Jones was present to address plans with the Board, stating that
the breezway will be enclosed, the garage renovated with a study
and a billiard room addition on top. Mr. Dawson noted that the
application called for a new 2 story structure with garage below
and guest quarters on top, and that this was turned down by the
Community Appearance Board

Planning Board due to non-conformance of accessory structures . He
stated that the CAB is not to consider this in their review today.
After viewing the house and landscaping plans, the following MOTION
was made by MR. FUTERNICR/MRS. BARR:

GARAGE/BREEZEWAY; FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2435 S. OCEAN
BLVD. , LOT 129 . APPLICANT/OWNER: MR. AND MRS. MULLER.
Motion met with unanimous vote .
OTHER BUSINESS
Mr. Savino expressed concern that a fence has not been placed at
CC "-`- th 'JGrandC� projects stating that sand is blowing out and around
the street and residents in the area. He also stated that the
Tfence is still erected at the site across the street from the fire
house, yet the home has been completed for quite some time . Mr.
Dawson stated he would address these items.
Inspectors for the month of October will be Mrs . Browner and Mrs .
Barr.
With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to
adjourn was made by MRS. BROWNER/MRS. BARR at 10 : 10 A.M.
