1999.01.28_CAB_Minutes_Regular TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Thursday, January 28 , 1999 9 : 30 A.M. Chairperson Theresa M. Colarullo called the Regular Meeting to order in Town Hall at 9 : 30 A.M. Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll . Present were Chair Colarullo, Members Miriam Zwick, Abraham Futernick, Beverly Barr, Judith Lee Browner, Frank Savino and Neil W. Burd. Building Official Robert Dawson was present as well as members of the general public . APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MR. FUTERNICK/MRS. BARR, the minutes of the December 31 , 998 Regular Meeting were unanimously approved. NEW BUSINESS PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR TWO NEW 2-FAMILY RESIDENCES; INCLUDING SITE WORK, SITE WALLS AND DECORATIVE ARCH, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1111 & 1115 HIGHLAND BEACH DRIVE, LOTS 19 & 20 . APPLICANT: MARK ROTHENBERG / GARDENS AT HIGHLAND BEACH. Mr. Rothenberg presented his plans, offering explanation that the units are larger than the present 2 lots, and will have a unity of title for a 24 foot wide track which runs parallel to the parcels creating the appropriate setback requirements . Mr . Burd asked if the ingress/egress of the units will eventually be connected to the 15 abutting acres, when Mr . Rothenberg develops same, and if that would be the main access to the development . Mr. Rothenberg stated that these four units will be part of the association of the future project, so there will be an access even if via a board walk for availability to the boat dock, beach, etc . , but does not foresee a drive through access . Colors were discussed and Landscaper went over the horticulture planned. k>i t- N141 all questions satisfactorily answered, the following MOTION was made by MR. FUTERNICK/MR. SURD: THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR TWO NEW 2-FAMILY RESIDENCES; INCLUDING SITE WORK, SITE WALLS AND DECORATIVE ARCH, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1111 & 1115 HIGHLAND BEACH DRIVE, LOTS 19 & 20 . APPLICANT: MARK ROTHENBERG / GARDENS AT HIGHLAND BEACH. Motion met with unanimous vote . Community Appearance Board January 28 , 1999 Page 2 of 2 PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3425 S .00EAN BLVD; APPLICANT: LE SANCTUAIRE CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION. Mr. Rothenberg stated that there is no sign at the moment, and this would consist of a 1200 lb. coral rock from the Keys, with a cut , flat face for placing the house numbers on. At this time, no lights are planned for illumination, but Mr. Rothenberg asked that the board allow for same if needed in the future . The following MOTION was made by MR. FUTERNICK/MRS . BARR. THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3425 S . OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: LE SANCTUAIRE CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION. Motion met with unanimous vote . OTHER BUSINESS ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 1999 Upon MOTION by MRS . BARR/MRS. ZWICK, THERESA M. COLARULLO was re- elected as CHAIRMAN. Upon MOTION by MR . FUTERNICK/MRS . BARR, MIRIAM S . ZWICK was re-elected as VICE-CHAIRMAN. OTHER BUSINESS Mr. Dawson asked that the property at 4201 Intracoastal Drive be inspected so as to indicate at next month' s meeting that it was in conformance for a Certificate of Occupancy. Mrs . Zwick and Mrs . Browner will be the inspectors for February. ADJOURNMENT With no further business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn was made by MRS . BARR/MRS . BROWNER at 10 : 10 A.M.
