COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
Thursday, June 24 , 1999 9 : 30 A.M.
Chairman Theresa Colarullo called the Regular Meeting to order in
Town Hall at 9 : 30 A.M.
Deputy Town Clerk Jane Dillon called the roll . Present were
Chairman Colarullo, Vice-Chair Miriam S . Zwick and Members Abraham
Futernick, Beverly Barr, Judith Lee Browner, Neil W. Burd and new
member Rosalind Gatewood.
Members of the general public were also in attendance .
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Upon MOTION by MRS . ZWICK/MRS. BARR, the minutes of the May 27,
1999 Regular Meeting were unanimously approved.
NEW BUSINESS
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR PLACEMENT OF A CONSTRUCTION TRAILER FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4011 S . OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: FRANK LAHAGE;
OWNER: JAMES BARRY.

Representative was present with explanation of need for a
construction trailer on the site . With questions answered, the
following MOTION was made by MR. FUTERNICK/MRS. ZWICK:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR
PLACEMENT OF A CONSTRUCTION TRAILER FOR PROPERTY LOCATED
AT 4011 S . OCEAN BLVD. APPLICANT: FRANK LAHAGE; OWNER
JAMES BARRY.
MOTION met with unanimous vote .
PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR PRIVACY WALL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4001 S.
OCEAN BLVD. , LOT 53 . APPLICANT: DOUG MANN / OWNER: PETER KULIN.
Mr. Kulin stated that a privacy wall and boat davit would be
installed at this property. Board examined plans, and the
following MOTION was made by MRS. ZWICK/MRS. BARR:

PRIVACY WALL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4001 S . OCEAN BLVD. ,
LOT 53 . APPLICANT: DOUG MANN / OWNER: PETER KULIN.
MOTION met with unanimous vote .
PRELIMINARY REVIEW TO CONSTRUCT A RAISED BALCONY/PATIO OFF THE
NORTH BREAKFAST ROOM FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4217 S . OCEAN BLVD. ;
APPLICANT/OWNER: ROBERT C. PATEK.

Chair Colarullo stated that she and two other board members
inspected this property, with Mr. Dawson noting that subject
application was granted a variance to construct patio/balcony.
After board examined plans, and all questions were answered
satisfactorily, the following MOTION was made by MRS. ZWICK/MRS.
BARR:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A RAISED BALCONY/PATIO OFF THE NORTH
BREAKFAST ROOM FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4217 S . OCEAN
BLVD; APPLICANT/OWNER: ROBERT C. PATEK.
MOTION met with unanimous vote .
OLD BUSINESS
SECOND REVIEW FOR NEW PRIVACY WALL ON NORTH AND SOUTH PROPERTY
LINES, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2465 S. OCEAN BLVD. , LOTS 16A AND
17A, BYRD BEACH. APPLICANT: JOHN BEACH / OWNER: AYDIN ADAK.
John Beach was present to discuss application, with neighbor Carol
Park' s attorney also present . Both stated that they were able to
work out an agreeable solution to the subject hedge and damaged
wires from removal of hedge, which was controversial at last CAB
meeting. With that in mind, the following MOTION was made by
MRS. ZWICK/MR. FUTERNICK:
THE COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD GIVES FINAL APPROVAL FOR
PRIVACY WALL ON NORTH AND SOUTH PROPERTY LINES FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2564 S . OCEAN BLVD. , LOTS 16A AND
17A, BYRD BEACH. APPLICANT: JOHN BEACH / OWNER: AYDIN
ADAK.
MOTION met with unanimous vote .
OTHER BUSINESS
Mr. Dawson asked that property at 4325 be inspected for a
Certificate of Occupancy. Ms . Colarullo assigned Mrs . Browner and
Mrs . Zwick to conduct subject inspection.
With no other business to come before the Board, MOTION to adjourn
was made by MRS . ZWICK/MR. FUTERNICK at 10 : 00 a .m.
