fwo Chairman Boscove called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., advising this
was a workshop meeting of the Planning Commission/Local Planning Agency.
The agenda is attachment "A". The recording secretary called the roll.
Present: J. A. Boscove, N. M. Johnson, W. Bonny, J. M. Farrin,
R. B. Myers, J. J. Basso.
Absent: L. O. Edlund
Chairman Boscove referred to letter dated June 3, 1980, from Town Manager
E. W. Roberts, subject "Section 5.1 and 5.2 of the Zoning Ordinance",
attachment "B", and read from Section 5.2a"Fences, walls and hedges",
attachment "C".
Following discussion, members agreed that recommendation be made to delete
from Section 5.2(a) "except that such limitations shall not apply in re-
quired yards adjacent to SR AIA (South Ocean Boulevard) other than as nec-
essary to provide visibility triangles as set forth above."
Chairman Boscove indicated the second item scheduled for review was Time-
sharing". Referring to report submitted to the Town Manager, E. W. Roberts
by Town Attorney T. E. Sliney, "TIME SHARING FROM A DEVELOPER'S PROSPECTIVE"
prepared by Mark G. Langer, P.A. South Miami, Chairman Boscove noted under
"D. ZONING", on page 2.9 of this report which reads as follows:
Question: Will the creation of and sale of time share
estates in a condominium change the character and use
of the condominium so as to require the project to be
located in a commercially zoned area?"
This question was not answered.

13.33 TIME-SHARE ESTATE, UNITS
agreed to add new definition, 13.33 as
a. "Time-share estate" means any interest in a unit under which
the exclusive right of use, possession, or occupancy of the
unit circulates among the various owners of time-share estates
in such unit in accordance with a fixed time schedule on a
periodically recurring basis for a period of time established
by such schedule.
b. "Time-share unit" means a unit in which time-share estates
have been created.
