2006.05.10_PB_Minutes_Regular • TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH PLANNING BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, May 10, 2006 9:30 a.m. Chairman Neil W. Burd called the Regular Meeting to order in Commission Chambers at 9:30 a.m. Present were Chair Neil Burd, Vice Chair Theresa Colarullo, Louis P. Stern, Leonard O. Townsend, Patricia Pembroke, Victor Hadeed and Leonard D. Bell. Also present was Town Attorney Thomas E. Sliney and Building Official Robert Dawson. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Upon MOTION by MR. HADEED/MRS. PEMBROKE, the minutes of the following meetings were unanimously approved: . February 8, 2008 Workshop Meeting . March 8, 2006 Workshop Meeting . April 12, 2006 Regular Meeting OLD/NEW BUSINESS FINAL REVIEW FOR A NEW PERMANENT SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3115 • S. OCEAN BLVD. (OCEAN TERRACE CONDO). APPLICANT: MIKE SNEIDERMAN / OWNER: OCEAN TERRACE HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION. Mr. Sneiderman was present to present application. This will replace an old, out of date sign in front of the building. It has the same footprint, and will be 10 sq.ft. in size, as permitted by code. Color is aged ivory with beveled sides, and will be illuminated by ground lights. The following MOTION was made by MRS. PEMBROKE/MR. STERN: THE PLANNING BOARD GRANTS FINAL APPROVAL FOR A NEW PERMANENT SIGN FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3115 S. OCEAN BLVD. (OCEAN TERRACE CONDO). APPLICANT: MIKE SNEIDERMAN / OWNER: OCEAN TERRACE HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION. MOTION carried unanimously. PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING HOUSE AND CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2545 S. OCEAN BLVD., LOT 15. APPLICANT: ZEN ASSOCIATES, INC. / OWNER: CAROL PARKS. There was no representative for the project, therefore Mr. Dawson presented it to the Board. After the members reviewed the plans, it was determined that there was not sufficient information presented to make a determination. . Planning Board May 10, 2006 Page 2 of 2 It was also suggested that a rep be here, or something be submitted in writing noting what the intent is. Mr. Sliney stated that because the plans conform to code, the building official administratively can represent the applicant -they are not required to be here. It was noted that the application should have been marked Final review, in that the plans meet the code. The Board requested four elevations showing what the materials are, more detail be submitted, check titles, and which side of house faces which way. Mr. Dawson also said that he would ask that a representative be in attendance the next time this application comes before the Board. After further discussion, the following MOTION was made by MR. TOWNSEND/MRS. PEMBROKE: PRELIMINARY REVIEW FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING HOUSE AND CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2545 S. OCEAN BLVD., LOT 15. APPLICANT: ZEN ASSOCIATES, INC. /OWNER: CAROL PARKS, BE TABLED TO A FUTURE MEETING WHEN MORE INFORMATION CAN BE RELAYED TO THE BOARD. MOTION carried unanimously. • OTHER BUSINESS None.
