Continuation of the Recessed Regular Meeting of 5/2/56.
The recessed meeting of 5/2/56 was called to order at 7;30 p,m. by
Mayor Smith. Also present were Conuntrs Eypel, Hertwig,Noble & Weber.
The ~}~~~ Town Clerk read the completed minutes of the following
meetings;
Regular meeting of March 6, 1956;
recessed meeting of March 6th held l~iarch 13, 1956;
Regular meeting of April 3, 1956;
Special meeting of I~'Iay 2, 1956 (canvas of election);
Regular meeting of May 2, 1956;
Comm. Eypel moved that the above mentioned minutes be approved as read.
The motion was seconded by Comm. Noble and adopted by the affirmative
votes of Comm. impel, Hertwig, Noble, Smith and Weber, with no dissent,
Concerning the payment due June 1, 1956 on the beater Bonds, which pa
went was authorized at the meeting of 5/2/56, the Town Treasurer stated
that to conserve interest earned in the Sinking €und, payment had been
made temporarily from the General Account and that a transfer would be
in order at some later date from the Sinking Fund to the General Fund.
Comm. Weber moved that the above mentioned method of payment be approved.
The matt ion was seconded by Comm. Noble and adopted by affirmative votes
of Comm. Eypel,, Hertwig, Noble, Smith & Weber, there being no dissent.
Comm. Noble moved that a basic retainer fee of X300.00 per year for the
Town Attorneys. be approved, and that the Town Treasurer be authorized
and directed to make payment of that amount to Attorneys Harry A.
Johnston and Henry F. Lilienthal. The motion was seconded by Comm. Eypel
and adopted by affirmative votes of Comm. Eypel, Hertwig, Noble, Smith
and .i~igi There were no dissenting votes.

There was general discussion about the lack of development of the tract
known as Delray-by-the-Sea and about the maintenance of a shack which
displays a sign of "Bader Properties Inc.'). As the whole matter of this
tract is know under consideration by the Commission, no action was taken.
There was discussion about the bond of the Town Clerk with the thought
in mind that Town funds should be conserved and perhaps the cost of the
premium was a waste of money. The Town Clerk was requested to discuss
the question with the Town Attorneys and report to the Commission.
The meeting was ad3ourned on motion of Comm. Weber, seconded by Comm.
Eypel and the affirmative votes of Comm. ~jpel, Hertwig, Noble, Smith
.and Weber, there being no dissenting vote.
