The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Comm. Hertwig. No other members of the commission were present and Comm. Hertwig de- clared the meeting recessed to '7:30 p.m. on September 18, 1956. ~:GD.r:'c lt;inutes. Equalization Board on Tax Assessments September 18, 1956. The meeting was called to order at 7;30 p.m. by Mayor E`ypel. Also pre- sent were Comm. Breckenridge, Hertwig and Weber. Comm Noble. was ab- sent, being out of the town. Minutes of the meeting of August 21, 1956 were read and approved on motion of Comm. Weber, seconded by Comm. Breckenridge and the affirm- ative votes of Comm. Breckenridge, Hertwig, Eypel and Weber. There was no dissent. The Town Clerk advised that as directed by the commission he had main- tained regular off~bce hours at the Town Hall onAugust 22, 23 and 24 and that no persons had appeared to make protest on any matter concern- ing tax assessments or the new tax roll. Comm. Hertwig moved that the Tax Roll as presented be approved and and for that purpose he offered Resolution #66 and moved it+s adoption. After some discussion of the resolution, Comm. Breckenridge m~ seconded the motion and it was adopted by affirmative votes of Comm. Breckenridge, impel, Hertwig and Weber. There was no dissent. TOWN OF HIGHLAND BEACH, FLORIDA. RESOLUTION N0. 66 Approving the 1956 Tax Roll. WHEREAS the Town Commission, as a Board of Equalizers, held meetings at the Town Hall on July 3, 1956, and on August 21, 1956 and on Septem- ber 18, 1956,and at said meetings it heard any and all complaints or objections by taxpayers, in reference to the Assessed Valuations placed on the Tax Assessment Roll by the Town Tax Assessor, and it was found that the Tax Assessment Roll as prepared by the Tax Assessor, is fair, reasonable and just; AND WHEREAS the total figures of the Tax Assessment Roll are as follows: Total value of all taxable Real Property... .......$$ 928,850. Total value of all taxable personal Property...... 51 150. Total value of all Taxable Property ...... ...$ g8o:060 Value of Exemptions .................. 139 900. Gross total assessed value of all property.00..60$1,I79"96O* NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Commission of the Town of Highland Beach that said real estate and tangible personal property Tax Roll for 1956 be and the same hereby is equalized and adjusted as re- quired by law, and the same is accepted as being fair, just and equal as to valuations.
