1956.11.06_TC_MinutesPl~inutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. I~?ovember 6, 1956. The meeting was called to order at 7;30 p.m. by P~!!ayor Eypel. Also present were Comm. Breckenridge, Noble and Hertwig. I~z~inutes of the meetings of October 2nd and 9th were read and approved on motion of Comm. Breckenridge, seconded by Comm. Tdoble and the aff irm- ative votes of -Comm. Breckenridge, ~~ el, h'ertwig and Noble. There was no dissent. There was some discussion about non-receipt of the promised confirma- tion of Comm. Webers resignation as the pending situation makes it un- wise to name a successor to the post. Cornet. Noble moved that Tv7ayor L'ypel contact P~Ir. ~°leber and arrange a proper conclusion of the matter. Comm. ~~reckenridge seconded the motion which was adopted by the affirm- ative votes of Comm. Breckenridge, Eypel, Hertwig and Noble. Thwae was no dissent. By u:eneral agreement the Town Clerk tivas requested to send the usual annual contribution of `25.00 to the Resources Development Board and arrange if possible the naming of ter. Gilliam S. Rupp and r"r. Donald Ross as directors to represent the Town in place of those whose ap- pointments have expired, T'ne was general discussion of a revised tentative plat of the new ?JrL-LIDO sub-division,and although the plat shows only a general ar- rangement of canals, streets and lots, there was complete agreement that the arrangement shown was a good one. Gn motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm. Breckenridge and affirmative votes of Comm. Breckenridge, :~~ el, Hertwig and Dtoble the Town Clerk was authorized .and directed to pay the following special bills; to H. L. Cromer the adjusted amount of X1,765.65 for repairs peaking joint of the canal crossing of the water main; to ~TOward Smith :192.00 for ac- counting reports for 1954 and 1955; to Chase T~~anhattan Bank, y2,275.00 for 'y'iater Bond Interest due 12~1~56. Comm. ?zertw:ig presented prepared Resolution ;'~69, affirming the contin- uity of various extra functions to be performed by the ~^own officials. rLfter discussion of the subject Comm. ~rackenrid_ge moved adoption of the resolution. The motion was seconded by Comm. ZTOble and approved by affirmative votes of Comm. Breckenridge, Eypel, Hertwig and Tdoble. There was no dissent.
