T~~inutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. December 6, 1956.
( A regular monthly meeting)
The meeting was called to order at 8;00 p.m. by Mayor Fypel. Also pre-
sent were Comm. Breckinridge, Hertwig and ~?oble. P~~r. D. F. Ross and
i~,r. J. B. ~Ninston were present as taxpayers and residents.
r~:inutes of the meeting of November 6, 1956, were read and, after insertion
of a typographical omission on page 2, were approved on motion of Comm.
Breckinridge, seconded by Comm..l~oble and the affirmative votes of Comm,
Breckinridge, Fypel, Hertwig and Noble, with no dissent.
k '"ayor Fypel presented to the meeting a letter from P.Tr. ti. F. R. Weber,
conf firming his resignation as a member of the Town Commission. The
letter is as follows;

Cornm. i~TOble moved that the resignation of Comm, t~'leber be accepted and
placed in the record with an expression of the Commission+s appreciation
of the service,~rendered to the Town by him during the time he served
as a Commissioner of the Town. The motion was seconded by Comm.
Breckinridge and passed and adopted by the affirmative votes of Corm.
reckinridge, ".ypel, Hertwig and Noble.
There vras discussion of the nastter of garbage collection as the
County Carting Company vahich is presently doing that work had made some
increase from the reduced rates charged dl.i.ring the summer. It was gen-
eral.ly agreed that the contractor was showing a disposition to be rea-
sonable and to make adjustment where such was in order and so no of-
ficial action was taken
There was discussion about the need for an ordinance regulating signs
and several_ of those present agreed to do some research on the subject
and see what was being done in nearby communities to meet the problem.
There v~Tas also discussion about the need of rewriting the Zoning Gr-
dinance and making it stronger to meet the changing conditions in the
Towns The meeting was ad,Tourned on motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by
Comm. Hertwig and the affirmative votes of Comm. Z'ypel, Hertwig and

reviously.
