Comm, Noble read a commvnicatic~n consisting of a petition signed by a nuffibcr of taxpayers and residents of the Tmrn~ emb©dying a resole- tiara to authorise payment oP apt expanse account of 154.x4 per month to the Town Clerk. The resolution appears in Pn.7.l An the following page oP thes® minutes, ~- Comm. Skillman questioned the legality oP the resolution and there wan some discussion during which a taxpayer, ~Ir. Don Ross, stated that th,e resolution had been disct~sa~ed with Town attorney Byrd who had approved its legality, Cam. Hartwig asked to be recorded to the ePPect that the reading of the .resolution at this meeting was his First i~owledge of the scatter and that altho he f®lt it was coffiplimeretary he xould vote against it. The motion was second- ed by Comm.. Hoblc andpassed by the affirmative votes of all five commissioners present. Ta reply to questions, Cow. Hartwig advised that the new electric switches at the 'star works were in operation sad that while there were acsse adjustment~t still to be made on the equipment, as a whole, the feeding,oP the chemical treatment f®r rust control, was being carried out properly.
