1955.06.07_TC_Minutes Pilinutes. Highland Beach Town Commission. A regular monthly meeting. ~.e meeting was called to order at '7;45 by re Comm. Noble and Hertwig. Comm. Harmon 1'dinutes of the meeting of iu~ay 3, 1955 were of Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm. Iiertvvig all three commissioners present. June 'l, 1955. TuIayor Smith. Also present and 1`~eber were absent. read and approved on motion end the affirmat ive votes of Town-Treasurer Hertwig advised that, with the approval and concurrence of P;"ayor Smith, during the latter half of P~"ay, he had paid the semi-an- nual interest on t'ne water bonds and retired ;2,000.00 in principal of the same bonds, which payments vaere due on June 1, 1955. To avoid losing interest on the funds in the Sinking Fund, these payments yvere znade from the General Fund in the First National Bank of Delray Beach. At some suit - able time the General Fund is to be reimbursed for this payment. Comm. Hertwig requested that these facts be placed in the record and that the Commission give spec if is approval for the action, and for that purpose moved that the payments as made be approved. Comm. Noble seconded the motion and it was approved by affirmative votes of all three commissioners present. Comm. Hertwig reported that the current samples of water,s~nt~ testin had been graded satisfactory by the State Board of Health as of 5~13~55. There was general discussion of the proposed water filtration plant as it might affect the budget for the year beginning November 1, 1955 and there was general discussion of the pending development of Delray-by-the Sea. There was no formal action on these matters. The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by comm. Hertwig and the affirmative votes of all three commissioners present.
