(A regular monthly meeting)
The meeting was called to order at '7;35 by T;i.ayor Smith. Also present
were Comm~rs Noble, ti~'Ieber ~~ Hertwig. Comm. Harmon was absent.
Rainutes of the meeting of the ~.qualization Board on Tax Assessments,
held August 2nd, 1955, were read and approved on motion of Comm. t~'leber,
seconded by Comm. Noble and the affirmative votes of all four comm~.s-
sioners present.
Pinutes of the meeting of the Town Commission on August 2, 1955, ti^sere
read and approved on motion of Comm.. Noble, seconded by Comm. lnTeber,
and the affirmative votes of all four commissioners present.

The T;iayor pres rated a letter from Comm. Harmon requesting that his
resignation,as a member of the 't'own Commission be accepted as of the
meeting of Sep ember 6, 1955. It was generally agreed that all would
regret losing P~? I-Iarmon as a cor.~missioner but his letter was definite
that he did`not to continue to serve. To~^rn Clerk Hertwig requested that
eff~etiveness of the resignation be deferred until some papers could be
properly signed and su~~-vested that it be put into effect at the October
meeting.
Comm. I~?oble moved that the resignation of Comm. Harmon be tabled. The
motion was seconded by Comm. lj~Teber, and approved by the affirmative
votes of all four commissioners present.
The clerk reported that the current samples of vrater had been reported
as satisfactory, by the State I-Iealth Depft as of August 19, 1955.
There was general discussion about the projected filtration plant for
the water works, plans and specifications for which are in progress in
the office of Brockway, d"lmber ~c Brockv~~ay, Twon Engineers.
The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm, i~~Jeber, seconded by Comm.
~Zoble and. the affirmative votes of all four commissioners present.
