A regular monthly meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p,m, by b~ayor Smith.
Also present were Comm. Noble & Hertwig. Comm. Harmon & Skiklman
were absent, being out of town.

The clerk read proposal dated May 15, 1954 from Earl Harvel, Jr.,
giving a general outline of the basis on which he proposes to con-
tinue to furnish an inspection and maintenance, on a contract basis,
at the Town ~~later Viforks. After general discussion Comm, Hertwig mov-
ed that the proposal be accepted. The motion was seconded by Comm.
Noble ~ passed by affirmative votes of all fY~nee commissioners present,
The clerk read letter transmitted through l~+tr H. F. R. 'dVeber, from
the P~OSQUITC CONTROL DEPT of Palm Beach County, stating that they
planned to"continue Dieldrin Pellet work in your area by plane Tues-
day or ~lednesday at the latest". This referred to the dates of
early June and the work is intended to retard the breeding of mos-
quitoes and sand flies.
Mayor Smith, serving as a committee in the matter of repairs to the
office building of Robert Totterdale, complained of by PJliss Louise
M. Haberman, presented a letter dated Play 20, 1954 from ~Ir, Totter-
d~.le explaining his position which in brief is that he plans to
go ahead with the development of his large tract, that the office
will be needed and that he believed the appearance of the building
was improved by the repairs. He also requested permit to do the
work and had not earlier realized that a permit was necessary.
After general discussion it was agreed that Mr. Totterdale's pos-
ition was a reasonable one and permit for the repairs was author-
ized on motion of Comm. Noble seconded by Comm, Hertwig and aff irm-
ative votes of all three commissioners present. .The clerk was re-
quested to answer 1~iss HabermanfS letter and advise her of the
action taken by the Commission.
I Comm. Hertwig reported that after considerable investigation he
was taking steps to make minor changes to the Town water meters
to reduce the difficulty which has been experienced in taking the
monthly readings.
The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by
Comm. ~iertwig and the affirmative votes of all three Commissioners
present.
