~~inutes of the meeting of 913/54 were read and approved on motion
of Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm, Harmon and affirmative votes of
all five commissioners present.
Comm, Skillman presented copies of letters between the Federal Sav-
ings & Loan Insurance Corporation and the First Federal Savings &
Loan Assn of Delray Beach, bearing on the question as to whether
the Town could be secured on its deposits when such exceeded the
sum of Ten Thousand Dollars. There was an extensive and general
discussion of t'ne subject. Comm, Hertwig moved that the Tt~`ayor ap-
point a committee to call on Town Attorney Byrd to get his. definite
legal opinion on the question. There being no second for the mo-
tion it was withdrawn and by general agreement it was decided that
Comm. ~iertwig follow out his usual custom and call on Attorney Byrd
to get his opinion.
There was a lengthy discussion about the effects of the present wa-
ter treatment using Formula 115 and the general opinion was that
the water was somewhat improved. The monthly specimens, it was noted,
came back from the State Health Board, approved as satisfactory.
However the volume of water used during September was relatively
little and for that reason it was the general feeling that a fair
decision, as to the value of the treatment, could not be formed at
this time.
There being no further important business bef ore the meeting it
was adjourned on motion of Comm. Harmon, seconded by Corm, Skillman
and the affirmative votes of all five commissioners present.
