M. b Ma or Totterdale. ~ y y .Present were Commm: DnbeAdorff, Heaton Smith, Totterdale and Hartwig. .Town Treasurer Hert~rig advised that. he had executed and given Attorney Byrd, the 1(3Q 000,00 suretp bond called for in the -bond ordinance prevous~p enacted. The Commission d3.scussed arrangements for consu~nating the sale of .the .Water bonds and depositing the proceeds from. same. It was decided to meet at the office of Town Attorney Byrd and earrp out. the program as outlined by him. Comm. Dubendorff advised that. he had been making investigations concerning the proposed tax on utility bills and the matter of . utilityfraneh'ises. He: was requested to continue as a committee of one to get full information on these matters. There was discussion about zoning and the need for a building code.'- Mapor Totterdale felt that an outline code could-readilp be made up which would take care of'any-developement which .would occur in .the near future. Comm. Hertv+tig moved that the Mapor head a committee to prepare _ the proposed code. The ,m©ton-was seconded b~ Comm. Duhendnrff and passed by off'rmative votes of Carom. Dubendorff,, -.Heaton, Smith,. Totterdale and ~iertwig. The Mapor named Comma Dubendorff and Smith to nerve on the Committee-with- him. Comm. Hartwig advised that it a'necessarp to provide a seventh fre'hydrant in addition to tYie six decided upon and to make some some changes in the location of hydrants as shov~n,on the. engineers plans. Camm.`Smith moved that-the extra hydrant be anth- orized and that the locat~.on changes b® approved as shown on ,a revised drawing. The motion was. seconded by Comm. Dubendorff and passed-by affirmative votes of Comm. Dubendorff Heaton:, Smith, Totterdale and Hartwig. ..w ~Iapor Totterda~.e stated that he would-proceed with a number of buildings in the'4cinitp of the existing five unit Ferndal® Apartments, anal that he would. need-water on the ~itst side of AlA for the operation,.: He requested that a six nce main be`placed under:the'highway and agreod to pay the aat~ extra cost involved. Comm. `Smith moved that the change be authorized.. as outlined aboee. The motion was seconded bp'Comm Heaton and passed by affirmative votes of Comm'. Dubendorff, Heaton, Smith, Totterdale & Hartwig, Qn motion of Comm. Heaton, seconded' bg Comxri Dubendorff and yes votes of Comm.
