The meeting was called to order by t~3ayor Totterdale at 7:45 P.b~. Present were Comm. Dubendorff, Heaton, Smith, Totterdale ~ Hertwig. hTinutes of the preceding meeting were read and approved on motion of Comm. Smith, seconded by Comm. Dubendorff and affirmative votes of Comm. Dubendorff, Heaton, Smith „Totterdale & Hertwig. No dissent. The clerk read letter from The Chase National Bank, ~rhich letter is acknowledgement of interest paid by the Town on the Water Bonds. The clerk reported the Florida Power & Light Co. had returned signed contract for electric power at the Water Plant. Comm. Hertwig reported that a surety bond to protect the general funds of the Town would cost X10,00 per thousand. Comm. Hertwig moved that he be authorized and directed to secure bond to the amount of Five Thousand (5,000) Dollars, provided the price quoted is correct upon checking. Comm. Smith seconded the motion and it eras passed by affirmative votes of Comm. Dubendorff, Heaton, Smith, Totterdale and Hertwig. Comm. Hertwig reported that he had conferred with insurance repre- sentatives and had been advised that Chrymers and Tenants Liability Insurance of the plant site, appeared to be the only protection the Tovan seemed to need at this time. After some discussion the P~Tayor named Comm. Hertwig a committee of one to get the views of the .Town Attorney on the insurance question. I• The matter of an occupational license for the Telephone Co. was dis- cussed. It was decided to hold the matter in abeyance pending a proposed meting with Company representatives in mid-June. Alayor Totterdale reported receipt of a letter from the state Dept of Public Safety. The substance of the letter states that they ry wil to do as much patrolling on AlA as is possible. Mayor Totterdale also reported that in response to a recent letter he sent, the State Road Department apologized for neglecting the traffic survey which they promised to make earlier. They ~~rill make the survey and report in the near future. On motion of Comm. Heaton seconded by Comm. Smith and affirmative votes of Comm.
