Continuation of regular meeting recessed 9,/5/50.

l~iinutes of the two previos meetings were read and approved on motion
of Comm. Beaton, seconded by Comm. Dubendorff and the affirmative vote
of all five commissioners present.
The proposal of H. Z. Cromer to install afire hydrant at the north
city limits, at a cost of ~?95.00 , teas brought up~ for consideration.
~l'he commissioners felt it was required to permit ?roper flushing of
the :rater main. Comm. Smith moved that the installation 'oe ordered.
Comm. Dubendorff seconded the motion. It eras amassed by affirmative,.
votes of Comm. Dubendorff, Heaton, Smith and Totterdale, with Comm.
Herttrig voting in the negative.
The clerk presented the previously r~lislaid report from State Road Dent
in su'ostance stating that traffic on AlA dick. not justify them in seating_
lot~rer speed signs on the road. ~3y unanimous consent the report t~ras filed.
The clerk read request from T. M. Cook, requesting copy of th.e budget,
and by unanimous agreement was rec+uested to send same.
There eras discussion of the use o~ polyphosphate in the t~~rater to keep
the iron and manganese in solution, the two companies consulted having
advised that such be done. The clerk ?ras instructed to get the best
price and purchase 100 pounds of the material and that it be used in
the proportion of approx. 5 P P Tti2. The motion to authorize this action
tr~as by Comm. Heaton, seconded by Comm. Smith and affirmative votes
of~:a11 five comm. present.
"::r. H. F. R. ~iTeber and ice. R. Langlois trere present to rea_uest some
action about the sign recently installed near the north Town li~tits.
They complained that it could be confusing to persons driving south.
tlfter general discussion the matter was tabled for later consideration,
by unanimous consent of all five commissioners present.
The clerk read letter dated September 15th from the Rockc~,rell Mfg Co.,
bearing on the type of registers for the grater meters. After some
discussion it liras agreed unanimously that for the time being the ToT~rn
will continue to use the circular reading dials.
._ I~ia.yor Totterdale far the committee on Building Code, reported that
the committee was t^rorking on the matter continuously and tirould report
fully as soon as possible.
Comm. Hartwig read the treasurer's report and placed same inthe record.

On motion of Comm. Dubendorff, seconded by Comm. Smith and ?gassed
by affirmative votes of all five commissioners present, the+treasurer
ti°ras authorized to pay the following bills; Florida Pot-aer ~~ Light, ~J~0.50;
Rockwell T~Zfr~. Co,~3.$$ YJ. H. Kirk, September service, X55:00 .
Comm. Dubendorff, for the committee designated to prepare a statement
on the general progress of the Tovm, intended for transmission to all
property owners, presented prepared copy of a letter and requested the
clerk to read same which was done. After some discussion it C~as unan-
imously agreed that the letter as read trould be satisfactory and the
clerk tisas authorized to have same printed and subject to approval of
the Tom Attorney, to have said letter mailed ?rsith the tax bills to
all oroperty owners. To out of town owners bar registered mail. The
motion to authorize the forgoing eras made by COPu~i. Smith, seconded by
Comm. Heaton and approved by affirmative votes of all 5 comm. present.
On motion of Comm. Hertwig, seconded by Comm. Heaton and affirmative
votes of al_1 five commissioners present, the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting to be the regular meeting October 3rd, 1950.
