Ordinance x`124. was offered for consideration on itts second reading. That Ordinance was passed and approved on First reading on June 6, 1963 and posted on the Town Bulletin Board since that date. The title of Ordinance is as follows; Town of Highland Beach ORDINANCE #I2 . AN ORDINANCE TO INCREASE THB SALARY OF THE TOV~N MANAGER FROM ~~~O.mO TO 300. PER MONTH. Following the reading of Ordinance #124. Conan. Turner moved that on this itts second reading, Ordinance ~I24. be approved without change or amendment. The motion was seconded by Comm. Jones and apopted on the affirmative votes~of Commis Beekman, Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turner. There was a short discussion about Civil defence but no formal action was taken. The meeting was adjourned on motion of Comm. Turner, seconded by Comm. Jones and the affirmative votes of Comm~rs Beekman, Eypel, Jones, Noble and Turnery and was followed by the meeting of the Equalization Board on Tax Assessments. End of minutes. July 9, 1963. ~' The meeting was called to order at 2;30 p.m. on July 2, 1963 by Vice Mayor Turner. No others were present except Town M~ agar Hartwig. Lacking a quorum, Vice Mayor Turner declared the mest~ ing recessed to July 9, 1963 at 9:00 p.m., to follow the mnaistag monthly meeting of the Town Commission. The recessed meeting from July 2, 1963 was called to order by Mayor Eypel at 9:00 pm. on July 9, 1963 after adjournment of the regular meeting of the commission held on that date. The Town Manager read the Mayor-s notice for the meeting of the Equalization Board, which notice appears on the following page, page 2' of these minutes . (Highland Beach Town Commission) The Tax Assessor presented the Tax Assessment Roll of Real Property within the Town of Highland Beach for the year 1963 and the said Tax Assessment Roll shows the following valuations; 1963 Tax Roll, Town of Highland Beach,.. Florida. Totael value of all Non Exempt Real Property........~5,535,370• Value of Exemptions......... 10- 00._ Gross total of all Real Property ............ , , 7 . The Commissioners reviewed the Tax Ro11 and the assessed valuations as shown thereon and the Mayor inquired whether there were any prop- . erty owners, or representatives of same ~3anxg~ present, who wished to make any protest or objection concerning the Tax Roll. No .persons questioned or objected to the Assessment Roll and the sev- era! commissioners stated that they knew of no persons who desired to be heard. After further study of the assessment figures, it was agreed to recess the meeting to allow additional opportunity for interested parties to make protest if they so wished. Comm. Turner moved moved that the meeting be recessed to 9:00 p.m. on August 6, 1963; that the Tax Assessor be directed to .keep r®gular office hours at .the Town Hall on July 10, 11 and 12 all 1963, and to have the 1963 Tax Assessment Roll available for inspection by any properly interested parties who might wish to examine or protest. the assessments; to present such protests if any, for the Boardls con- sideration when it again meets on August 6, 1963, and if there are no such protests to prepare the usual form of resolution of approval of the Tax Roll, for adoption at such meeting. The motion was secone~- ed by Comm. Jones and approved by the affirmative votes of Comm~rs Beskrn.an, Eype1, Jones, Noble and Turner. July 2~, 1963. July 9, 1963• The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Vice M~ror Turner at 7:3o p.m. on July 2, 1963. No others were present ex- cept Town Manager Hertwig and so for lack of a quorum Comm. Turner recessed the meeting to July 9, 1963 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting recessed from July 2 1863 was called to order by Mayor Eypel at 7:30 p.m. on July 9, 193. Also present were CommTrs Beekman, Jones, Noble and Turner and Town Manager Hertwig. The minutes of the previous meeting of June ~. and 6, 1963, were read and approved on motion of Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm. Turner and the affirmative votes of Commt rs Beekman, ~ypel, .Jones, Noble and Turner. The Town Manager presented final plans for six homes to be built in the immediate future by Ralph Priesmeyer, on the ocean front in Gov . lot ~}., section 33 = The permit has not yet been i ssued and no formal action was needed or taken. The Town Manager presented and read a summary of current Town fin- ances a~x~ and b~ general agreement it was accepted for inclusion in these minutes.
